Various embodiments of the teachings herein include a corona shielding tape for further processing to give an insulation system comprising an impregnated winding with potential control via outer corona shielding 'AGS' and/or internal potential controller “IPS” and/or terminal corona shielding “EGS”, the insulation system being producible by impregnating the winding with an anhydride-free and resin-based impregnating agent at 45-85° C. and under reduced pressure. The corona shielding tape may include: a carrier tape; an electrically conductive and/or partly conductive filler in a polymer matrix; and a tape accelerator suitable for curing and/or gelation of the impregnating agent. The polymer matrix contains at least one polyvinylalcohol and/or a polyvinylalcohol copolymer. The accelerator is selected from the group consisting of: superacids and superacid salts suitable for acceleration of a cationic homopolymerization of the resin-based anhydride-free impregnating agent.

Various embodiments include a sprayable formulation for an insulation system of an electrical machine, the formulation comprising a sprayable resin mixture including: a monomeric and/or oligomeric, at least diepoxidic carbon-based first resin component; and a monomeric and/or oligomeric second resin component based on alkyl-/arylpolysiloxane with at least one glycidyl ester and/or glycidyl ether functionalities; and a curing agent and based on at least one of: anhydride, (poly)amine, and amino- and/or alkoxy-functional alkyl-/arylpolysiloxane.

Formulation for producing an insulating system, electrical machine and method for producing an insulating system

Various embodiments of the teachings herein include a cationic tape accelerator for use in a process for producing an insulation system by impregnation and/or encapsulation with an anhydride-free impregnating agent. The tape accelerator comprises an ionogenic compound of a sulfonium-containing cation and a hexafluoroantimonate anion.

Tape accelerator and use thereof, solid insulating material, and anhydride-free insulation system

The present disclosure relates to insulation. Various embodiments thereof may include a solid insulation material and/or a formulation for production of an insulation system. For example, a formulation for an impregnating agent may include: an impregnating resin comprising a cycloaliphatic epoxy resin having a viscosity of less than 1500 mPas at impregnation temperature; and a curing catalyst deposited in the solid insulation material. The curing catalyst may be reactive toward the cycloaliphatic epoxy groups of the cycloaliphatic epoxy resin in the formulation of the impregnating agent but be sufficiently reactively inert with respect to the functional groups of the tape adhesive likewise present in the solid insulation material to confer storage stability to the solid insulation material.

Solid insulation material

Various embodiments include a sprayable formulation for production of a multilayer insulation for an electrical machine, especially a rotating electrical machine in the high-voltage or mid-voltage sector, for example a generator, transformer, which is subjected to higher rated voltages at operating voltages, i.e., for example, over and above 1 kV or more. The invention also relates to an electrical machine comprising such an insulation; the invention finally relates to a method of producing the multilayer insulation. This comprises spraying of various formulations with or without intermediate, especially metallic, interfaces and is automatable.

Insulation, electrical machine, and method for producing the insulation

The present disclosure relates to insulation. Teachings thereof may be embodied in a solid insulation material, especially in tape form, the use thereof in a vacuum impregnation process and to an insulation system produced therewith, and also an electrical machine comprising the insulation system, especially for the medium- and high-voltage sector, namely for medium- and high-voltage machines, especially rotating electrical machines in the medium- and high-voltage sector, and to semifinished products for electrical switchgear. For example a solid insulation material with an anhydride-free impregnating agent may include: a carrier; a barrier material; a curing catalyst; and a tape adhesive. The curing catalyst and the tape adhesive are inert toward one another but react under the conditions of a vacuum impregnation process if combined with an anhydride-free impregnating agent having gelation times of 1 h to 15 h at impregnation temperature. The tape adhesive is free of oxirane groups and includes at least two free hydroxyl groups.

Various embodiments may include a solid insulation material, e.g. in tape form, the use thereof in a vacuum impregnation process, and/or an insulation system produced therewith and also an electrical machine having the insulation system, for the medium- and high-voltage sector. Some examples include rotating electrical machines in the medium- and high-voltage sector and also semifinished products for electrical switchgear. The solid insulation material and the insulation system produced therewith are characterized in that it can be produced in an anhydride-free manner, wherein the curing catalyst is, for example, an adduct of a 1H-imidazole and/or 1H-imidazole derivative with a compound containing oxirane groups.

The invention relates to a solid, in particular strip-shaped insulation material, to the use thereof in a vacuum impregnation method and a thus produced insulation system and to an electric machine using the insulation system, in particular for the medium and high voltage range, that is for medium and high voltage machines, in particular rotating electric machines in the medium and high voltage range and to semi-finished products for electric switching systems. According to the invention, the curing catalyst is a covalently-bridged di-imidazol derivative and/or a covalently-bridged di-pyrazol derivative.

The present disclosure relates to insulation systems. The teachings thereof may be embodied in an insulation system for an electrical machine. For example, an insulation system may comprise: solid insulation materials; an impregnating resin having oxirane functionalities; a depot accelerator distributed throughout the solid insulation materials; and a catalyst for initiating hardening of the impregnating resin, wherein the catalyst is at least partly in gaseous form under hardening conditions.
