The friction lining holding spring includes an offset knee piece of a U-spring leg, which branches off at an angle from a largely flat U base section, and wherein the largely flat base section has a fastening tab with a cup-shaped rim hole including a through-opening for the purpose of fixing on a backplate of the friction lining, wherein each knee piece has integrated gearing, which is in particular designed as an uneven brake piston insertion trajectory such that, when a brake piston is inserted, there is a predefined gearing reduction effect for the purpose of automatically influencing or modelling the necessary force requirement.

A pot-shaped, cold-formed steel brake piston as a pot which is open on one side includes a base and a wall including inner and outer walls, a radially inwardly configured groove is open in a radially outward direction and forms, radially at the inside, a groove bead projection. The open side of the pot ends as a bearing for a friction pad backplate. Interfaces integrated at the inside on the end side serve a) for the fixing between friction pad and steel brake piston and b) as support bearing for spring mounting the friction pad. An aspect of the invention permits an improved compromise between easier operability, rationalized component logistics in piston production, reduced hydraulic volume uptake in cooperation with the wheel brake periphery, and enhanced fatigue strength under maximum collective stress, in particular for heavy-duty applications of a disc brake with an electromechanical parking brake device. The problem is solved by the presence of a piston wall, which is provided, on the one hand, to sit with a free edge on a rear plate of a friction lining, and wherein the piston, on the other hand, includes an integral dome which forms an open receptacle for an actuator arranged diametrically to the edge of the piston.

The invention relates to a piston for a brake caliper, which can be actuated in combined fashion, of a disk brake, which pistonis produced by shaping processes from a metallic material, in particular from a planar metal sheet, and which pistonis formed as a pot which is open on one side and which has a longitudinal axis, a wall and a piston crown, and which piston has a twist prevention facility for a drive nut. The invention is based on the problem of providing a robust piston construction which is better capable of tolerating erroneous repair work. To solve the problem, it is proposed that the twist prevention facility has, between the piston and drive nut, at least one reinforcement for protecting against plastic deformation of at least one driver.

To prevent unnecessary play, vibration, noises between adjacent components it is proposed that in the area of a coupling between the spindle-nut-arrangement and the piston at least one compensating element be provided, which prevents unwanted component oscillations.

A brake pad for a partially-lined disk brake and a method for making such a brake pad. The brake pad has a back plate, a friction lining arranged fixedly on a front side of the back plate and a damping plate provided on a rear side. At least one hook-shaped guide end adjoins a body region of the back plate in a circumferential direction. The guide end has an elevation with a material thickness D increased in relation to a material thickness d of the body region. At least one abutment face for tangential abutment in a circumferential direction is provided on the guide end and a support face is provided thereon for radial support in a radial direction. The damping plate has at least one bent-over bracket which rests against the radial support face in a bracket region of the back plate. The damping plate is offset axially to the rear relative to the bracket region in the body region of the back plate.

A piston for a hydraulic brake configured as a bowl, open on one side, with a longitudinal axis, a wall and a bottom, and is delimited on an open end face by a rim with an axial abutment surface which is movable into abutment on a brake pad. The bottom has an essentially plane outside surface, a wall thickness of the bottom is thicker than a minimum wall thickness of the wall, and at a transition area between bottom and wall, a wall thickness of the wall is continuously increasing towards the bottom, thus, the wall passing over into the bottom in a slope. Furthermore, a method including forming a disc-shaped round blank into a bowl-type hollow cylinder, and upsetting the hollow cylinder in its longitudinal axis so that the bottom material is thickened due to the upsetting operation.
