A locking hinge with a first component and a second component which are mounted against each other in a pivotal manner relative to each other about a pivot axis. The first component has a latching recess, and the second component has a latching element which is designed to penetrate the latching recess in a latching position of the first component relative to the second component, thus preventing a pivoting movement of the first component relative to the second component in at least one direction. The latching element is designed to penetrate the latching recess to different depths in at least two different latching positions.

Locking hinge

A joint for an orthopedic device which has a first articulated arm and a second articulated arm, which are mounted about a swivel axis such that they can be swiveled relative to one another, and a blocking device which can be moved into a release position and a blocking position. Joint for an orthopedic device

An orthopedic rail system which has a first component with a receiving element and a second component with a connection end for connecting to the receiving element. The receiving element has two opposing stop walls, and the connection end has two opposing lateral walls. The receiving element and the connection end can be connected to each other by at least one connection element such that the lateral walls rest against the stop walls in the connected state. The stop walls and the lateral walls each taper towards each other in a conical manner.

The use of an orthopedic aid with two parts () which are movable relative to one another and with a locking device for locking the two parts () in a predetermined relative position and for unlocking the parts () in order to permit movement of the parts () with respect to one another is made much safer by virtue of the fact that at least one signaling arrangement () is provided which emits a particular signal for the locking state or upon unlocking of the locking device. The risk of accidents due to the parts () being incorrectly locked is at least substantially reduced.
