A method for actuating a valve with an electromagnetic valve drive through which electric current is conducted to open or close the valve or to hold the valve in an open or closed position includes receiving an opening signal, determining an adapted opening signal which is adapted to physical limits of the valve or valve drive, and determining a feed-forward signal for feed-forward control of an electric current to drive the electromagnetic valve drive to open the valve in reaction to the adapted opening signal. The method further includes calculating an actuation signal for actuating the valve drive using the feed-forward signal, and outputting the actuation signal.

An electronically pressure-controllable vehicle braking system and a method for controlling an electronically pressure-controllable vehicle braking system are described. Such vehicle braking systems may stabilize a vehicle, assist the actuation of the vehicle braking system, and/or enable a fully automated or semi-automated driving operation. For this purpose, the vehicle braking systems include a primary actuator system which sets or regulates different braking pressures at the wheel brakes and furthermore includes an electronically controllable secondary actuator system which protects the vehicle braking system against, inter alia, failure of the primary actuator system. According to the invention, in the event of a fault in the primary actuator system, an activation of the secondary actuator system takes place in such a way that the secondary actuator system generates a braking pressure which, taking into account the dynamic axle load displacement in the direction of the front axle taking place during a braking operation, is greater than the braking pressure convertible into a braking power by the wheel brakes on the rear axle. A provided unit reduces this braking pressure at the at least one wheel brake of the rear axle to a value at which the wheel of the motor vehicle assigned to the at least one wheel brake of the rear axle does not lock.

Electronically pressure-controllable vehicle braking system and method for controlling an electronically pressure-controllable vehicle braking

An electronically slip-controllable vehicle braking system for a motor vehicle, including an actuatable brake master cylinder, to which at least one wheel brake that is associated with one wheel of a front axle of the vehicle, and at least one wheel brake that is associated with one wheel of a rear axle of the motor vehicle, are detachably connected. An electronically controllable first actuator suite of the braking system establishes and regulates mutually differing brake pressures in the wheel brakes as a function of the respectively existing slip conditions. An electronically controllable second actuator suite establishes and regulates a uniform brake pressure at the wheel brakes, and a third actuator suite limits the brake pressure generated by the second actuator suite at the at least one wheel brake associated with the wheel of the rear axle. Electronic control application to the actuator suites is accomplished via an electronic control device.

Electronically slip-controllable braking system

An electronically slip-controllable braking system including an actuatable master brake cylinder, to which at least one wheel brake, associated with a wheel of a front axle and at least one wheel brake, associated with a wheel of a rear axle of a vehicle, are connected. An electronically activatable first actuator system sets and regulates brake pressures different from one another in the wheel brakes as a function of the particular present slip conditions. The system has a primary actuator system that sets/regulates different brake pressures at the wheel brakes, and an electronically controllable secondary actuator system that secures the vehicle brake system against primary actuator failure. For a primary actuator error, the secondary actuator is controlled so that the secondary system produces a brake pressure that, based on the dynamic axle load displacement, occurring during a braking process, in the direction of a front axle, is greater than the brake pressure that is convertable into a rear axle wheel brake braking power.
