A porous sintered body with an electrically conductive coating is provided. The sintered body has an open porosity in a range from 10 to 90%. The electrically conductive coating is bonded to the surface of the pores and is part of a heating device in a vaporizer. The electrically conductive coating lines the pores located in the interior of the sintered body so that when the sintered body is electrically connected and a current is applied, the current flows at least partially through the interior of the sintered body so that the interior of the sintered body is heated. A method for producing a porous sintered body with an electrically conductive coating is also provided.

An housing for electronic components, such as LEDs and/or FETs, is provided. The housing has a base body having an upper surface that at least partially defines a mounting area for an electronic functional element, such that the base body provides a heat sink for the electronic functional element. The base body has a lower surface and a lateral surface and includes a connecting body for the electronic functional element, which is joined to the base body a glass layer formed by an alkali titanium silicate glass.

The invention relates to an optical converter system for LEDs, preferably for so-called (W)LEDs, and a method for producing the named optical converter system. The modular-type optical converter system comprises an inorganic converter for converting the radiation emitted from the LED, an inorganic optical component, preferably comprising glass, which is disposed downstream relative to the converter in the direction of emission of the LED, wherein the converter and the first optical component are adjacent to one another and joined at least in sections. The optical converter system possesses a temperature resistance, which lies above that of the system known in the prior art. Also, the preferred components of the system are substantially resistant to UV and to chemicals.

Optical converter system for (W)LEDs

A housing for radiation-emitting or radiation-receiving optoelectronic components such as LEDs and a method for producing the housing are provided. The housing has a base part and a head part that are joined by a glass layer. The top face of the base part defines an assembly region for an optoelectronic functional element and is also a heat sink for the optoelectronic functional element. The head part extends at least in sections over the peripheral extent of the assembly region, and above the assembly region it forms a passage area for the radiation emitted from or to be received by the optoelectronic functional element.

Housing for high-power LEDs

A glass powder or a glass-ceramic powder is provided that includes multicomponent glasses with at least three elements, where the glass powder or a glass-ceramic powder has a mean particle size of less than 1 &#x3bc;m. In some embodiments, the mean particle size is less than 0.1 &#x3bc;m, while in other embodiments the mean particle size is less than 10 nm.
