A transmission includes a first oil reservoir and a second oil reservoir. The first oil reservoir, in an installed position, lies underneath the second oil reservoir. The first oil reservoir and the second oil reservoir are connected via a connection line. The connection line is configured to open or close depending on an oil level in the first oil reservoir. An engagement device () for a transmission (G), the engagement device () including a gear shift sleeve (S) arranged between a first idler gear (LR) associated with a shaft (W) of the transmission (G) and a second idler gear (LR) arranged coaxially to the shaft (W). By displacing the gear shift sleeve (S) towards the first idler gear (LR), a rotationally fixed connection between the shaft (W) and the first idler gear (LR) can be established. By displacing the gear shift sleeve (S) towards the second idler gear (LR), a rotationally fixed connection between the first idler gear (LR) and the second idler gear (LR) can be established. The first idler gear (LR) includes a plurality of axially projecting extensions (F) which extend through openings (A) formed in the gear shift sleeve (S).

Shifting mechanism for a transmission

A shift safety device for a manual transmission having a gear shift shaft that rotates to select shift gates and moves to shift gears. The device has a blocking element which, during selector motion towards a shift gate, is driven by the gear shift shaft, against a spring, from a starting position into a blocked position, in which the device blocks further selector motion of the gearshift shaft, and which, during subsequent shifting motion of the gearshift shaft, is released and returned back to the starting position, by the spring, thereby permitting further selector motion. A driver arm, disposed on the gear shift shaft, moves the blocking element tangential to the arc traversed during selector motion by the driver arm between the starting and blocking positions. The blocking element moves in the linear track traversed during shifting of the driver arm and is pretensioned toward the starting and center positions.

Shift error safeguard for a transmission in a motor-vehicle

A shifting device of a transmission comprises a selector interlock which can prevent a gear shift shaft from moving into an outer shift gate. The interlock comprises a locking ring which is axially and rotationally movably supported by the shaft. The ring has a stop surface with a tooth and a locking surface and is held by a spring in a rest position. A stop surface of the shaft abuts the tooth when the shaft is moved toward the outer shift gate, before reaching the second inner shift gate. The locking surface of the ring abuts a housing locking surface when the shaft reaches the next shift gate by further displacement of the shaft. The tooth of the ring engages in a recess when the shaft ring rotates to a gear shift position in the next inner shift gate.

Shifting device of a motor vehicle manual transmission

A device for latching and locking of shift rockers (1, 1') of a shift device of a transmission. The device has a lock part (3, 3&#x2032;), for each shift rocker (1, 1&#x2032;), which resides in a receptacle (2) of the shift rocker (1, 1&#x2032;), which interacts with a lock contour (5, 5&#x2032;), positioned in a non-moving area of the transmission, for the latching purpose, whereby the lock part (3, 3&#x2032;) also serves, in addition to the latching, as an interlock for the shift rocker (1, 1&#x2032;).
