An Actuating device for a bicycle is provided. The actuating device may include a static element which is positionally fixed in relation to a bicycle frame, a movable element which is movable in relation to the static element, an electromechanical drive which provides drive force for a movement of the movable element. The electromechanical drive has a motor and a gearing driven by the motor. The gearing may include a first gearing wheel and a second gearing wheel which is in engagement with the first gearing wheel.

A roller-type chain for a bicycle is configured with asymmetrical chain link plates, the chain link plates applicable for use with a chain with reduced chain width as in use on chain drives with a high number of gear ratios. The chain link plates are configured at the inner side of the chain loop for engagement on the teeth of the rear sprocket and of the front chain wheel. The chain link plates are further configured at the outer side of the chain loop for interaction with the chain-guiding roller on the rear gearshift mechanism.

A plurality of sprockets which are coaxial with respect to a sprocket rotation axis, are arranged with axial spacing from each other and have different numbers of teeth which are constructed for positive-locking engagement with a bicycle chain. The pinion arrangement has a gear range quotient which is formed by division of the number of teeth of the sprocket having the largest diameter by the number of teeth of the sprocket having the smallest diameter, and has a packing density quotient which is formed by division of the number of sprockets in the sprocket arrangement by the axial spacing measured in millimeters of the axially outermost pinions from each other. The pinion arrangement may have a gear range packing coefficient, formed from the product of the gear range quotient and the packing density quotient, which is greater than 1.25.

A drive arrangement for a bicycle may be provided with various interactive components configured to reliably and repeatably engage and disengage with one another both when new and after a period of wear. The drive arrangement may include a drive sprocket assembly connected to a driven sprocket assembly with a chain movable by a gear changer.

A multi sprocket arrangement is configured for mounting on a driver of a bicycle wheel. The multi sprocket arrangement includes a plurality of adjacent sprockets each of the plurality of sprockets having a different number of teeth. The plurality of adjacent sprockets include a first sprocket having a first inner diameter which is larger than an outer diameter of a profile base of a carrier profile of the driver, and a second sprocket having a second inner diameter which is smaller than the outer diameter of the profile base of the carrier profile of the driver. The first sprocket and the second sprocket are connected together by welding.

The multi-sprocket arrangement includes at least ten adjacent sprockets with different numbers of teeth. In each case of the at least ten adjacent sprockets two adjacent sprockets of the sprockets are arranged with a defined spacing to one another. The defined spacing corresponds either to a smallest spacing or to a larger spacing.

A multiple-sprocket arrangement for mounting on a rear wheel axle arrangement of a bicycle is provided. The multiple-sprocket arrangement includes a sprocket assembly having a plurality of sprockets of different sizes, and/or different numbers of teeth, disposed along an axis of rotation, for example of the rear wheel axle arrangement. The sprocket assembly includes a torque transmitting section configured to transmit torque to a hub sleeve, the torque transmitting section disposed along a first length of the rotation axis, and at least two sprockets having a smaller inner diameter than an outer diameter of the hub sleeve, the at least two sprockets formed as a separate piece, or pieces, from other sprockets of the plurality of sprockets and positioned over a second length along the rotation axis, the second length distinct from, and disposed outboard of, the first length.

Multiple-sprocket arrangement for a bicycle gearing

A drive arrangement for a bicycle may include a plurality of sprockets arranged at a rear wheel of the bicycle. The sprockets may be particularly arranged to have a spacing that facilitates the configuration of an increasing number of sprockets in the plurality of sprockets. A singular front sprocket or chainring may be used to drive the rear plurality of sprockets. A particularly configured tool may be used to configure the drive arrangement.

A multi-sprocket arrangement for installation on a rear wheel axle of a bicycle includes a sprocket assembly. The sprocket assembly has at least a first sprocket and a second, self-supporting sprocket. The second sprocket is connected to a holding body via the first sprocket by way of a separate, cylindrical fastener which extends parallel to the rear wheel axle. The fastener has a first and a second end which are connected in frictionally fit fashion to drilled holes in the first and second sprockets. The frictionally fit connection between the fastener and the drilled holes of the sprockets prevents an axial movement of the first and second sprockets toward one another. The fastener is additionally connected, at the first and second ends, in form-fitting fashion, to the first and second sprockets such that an axial movement of the first and second sprockets away from one another is also reliably prevented.

A multiple-sprocket arrangement for mounting on a rear wheel axle of a bicycle includes a receiving body designed for mounting on the rear wheel axle, and a sprocket assembly. The sprocket assembly includes a first sprocket, the inner diameter of which is greater than an outer diameter of the receiving body and which is connected to the receiving body. The sprocket assembly further includes at least one second sprocket, the inner diameter of which is smaller than an outer diameter of the receiving body and which is designed in an unsupported manner and connected to the receiving body in a torque-transmitting manner by means of the first sprocket. The first sprocket and the at least one second sprocket may be of a one-piece construction.
