A gripping/clamping device for gripping/clamping objects includes a drive that drives an actuator, and a jaw movably coupled to the actuator. An elastically deformable spring element is provided between the actuator and the jaw. A braking unit is provided, by either the actuator, or a movably coupled component provided between the actuator and the drive, that is fixed when an object is gripped. The elastically deformable spring element is elastically deformed. The drive has a rotating drive shaft. The braking unit fixes the rotating drive shaft. A drive transmission with an output shaft is downstream of the drive shaft. The drive transmission is provided between the drive and the actuator. The actuator is a pinion that rotates about a rotational axis. The elastically deformable spring element is provided between the jaw and a gear rack section disposed on the jaw meshing with the pinion.

Gripping or clamping device for gripping or clamping objects and method therefor

A gripping or tensioning device () for gripping or tensioning articles, has an electric drive (), the drive driving a pinion () mounted on an output shaft () and jaws () which are coupled for movement with the pinion () and can be displaced along a base () by means of a jaw guide (). The jaw guide () has bearing rollers () in the region between the jaws () in such a manner that the rotational axes of the bearing rollers run parallel to the pinion rotational axis ().

The invention relates to a gripping or clamping device for gripping or clamping objects, comprising at least one actuator that can be driven by a drive, at least one jaw, and a transmission provided between the actuator and the jaw, wherein the force produced by the drive is transmitted to the object at least by means of a force transmission element provided on or formed by the transmission and/or the clamping means, wherein the force transmission element has a force conducting section, wherein a clamping element that permits an elastic flexibility in the force transmission direction is provided between the force conducting section and the force transmission element.
