An electrical connector for connection to a complementary mating connector includes a housing having at least one socket and at least one contact assembly which is disposed at least partially within the socket. A fastening element secures the contact assembly within the socket. A secondary retention means is movable between a pre-latched position and a final latched position, and, in the final latched position, prevents the fastening element from releasing securement of the contact assembly in the socket. The housing has a fastening groove extending along the socket at least along a portion of its length for securing the secondary retention means. In the final latched position, the secondary retention means engages by at least one latching element in the fastening groove.

Electrical connector

A connector assembly for connecting a cable to an electrical component includes an outer conductor sleeve and an insulator element. The outer conductor sleeve has an attachment portion and a plug portion. The insulator element is disposed within the outer conductor sleeve, at least partially in the plug portion. The cable is disposed with a cable end portion at least partially within the outer conductor sleeve in the attachment portion. The outer conductor sleeve has at least a first wall thickness region having a first wall thickness in the attachment portion and at least a second wall thickness region having a second wall thickness in the plug portion, the first wall thickness being greater than the second wall thickness. The insulator element is at least partially disposed in the second wall thickness region.

Connector assembly for connecting a cable to an electrical component

An electrical connector for establishing an electrical contact with a complementary connector, in particular in a high-temperature environment, the electrical connector including: a housing having an essentially cylindrical inner volume with an opening at least at one end; an elongated contact element disposed inside the inner volume to contact the complementary connector when the latter is introduced into the inner volume; and an elongated spring element disposed between a wall of the inner volume and the contact element to resiliently support the elongated contact element. The contact element includes an anchor section clamped between a first and a second part of the housing.
