A coextrusion film has a core layer made of thermoplastic elastomer, and first and second outer layers sandwiching the core layer. The outer layers are each formed from a polymer having a lower elasticity than the thermoplastic elastomer of the core, each have a layer thickness of less than 15 &#x3bc;m, each have a density of less than 0.800 g/cm, and each have more than 500 gas-filled cells per 1 cubic millimeter of volume.

Coextrusion film and method of mixing

A coextruded polyethylene blown film, particularly for packaging, has a thickness between 20 &#x3bc;m and 250 &#x3bc;m and is formed by a foamed, particle-containing core layer between a first unfoamed weldable outer layer and a second unfoamed outer layer. The core layer has a polyethylene or a polyethylene-based mixture as a polymer component having a melt mass-flow rate (MFR) per DIN ISO EN 1133 of greater than 5 g/10 min at 190&#xb0; C. and 2.16 kg.

Coextruded polyethylene film

A film laminate wound up to form a film roll, from which bags with an integrated handle are produced in a VFFS form-fill and seal bag machine. The film laminate is produced by coating a film web of an outer film with a lamination adhesive and applying a material web of a sealable film to the adhesive layer. The material web is pressed together with the film web and adhesive layer in a lamination gap between a lamination roller and a pressing roller. A reinforcement strip passed to the lamination gap contacts the adhesive layer, between the film web and the sealable film. The circumference surface of the pressing roller has a depression that is coordinated with the film thickness and the film width of the reinforcement strip, so that a uniform pressing pressure prevails in the lamination gap, over the entire width of the laminate.

A package is formed a closed bag made of a multilayer film and contents enclosed in the bag. The film is folded to form the bag and has flat film sides and outer edges that are reinforced by weld seams. The film of the bag has a density of 0.5 g/cmto 0.9 g/cm, a printable outer layer forming an outside surface of the package, an inner seal layer made of a sealable polymer forming an inside surface of the package, and a foamed polymer core layer between the outer layer and the inner layer. The contents are a lumpy or granular bulk material.
