A method for operating a drive device for adjusting an automated clutch in a motor vehicle. The motor vehicle has a control device by which at least one control of the drive device and one capture of measurement data of a clutch travel sensor takes place for determining the setting of the automated clutch. The drive device has a drive motor with a drive connection to a displaceable element to be positioned. A travel range of the displaceable element is monitored and a referencing procedure is performed cyclically after a prescribed time and is followed by a plausibility check if referencing is permitted at the point in time.

Capturing actuator position

A method is proposed in which the distance sensor of a friction clutch operated automatically by a clutch actuator is calibrated in the disengaged state, wherein if the calibration is lost the friction clutch is slowly engaged until the friction clutch is in an engaged state, and when the friction clutch is completely engaged the distance sensor is recalibrated.

A method for checking the plausibility of an actuation position of a clutch of a double-clutch transmission operated by an actuator, including the following steps: disengaging the clutch assigned to the currently active old subtransmission and simultaneously engaging the clutch assigned to the other subtransmission to shift from the gear selected in the old subtransmission to a gear selected in the other, new subtransmission; deselecting the gear selected in the old subtransmission still during the overlapping operation of the clutches or immediately thereafter; detecting the difference between the speed of rotation of a drive shaft of the double-clutch transmission driven by a drive motor and the speed of rotation of the input shaft of the old subtransmission; and evaluating the state of the clutch assigned to the old subtransmission as disengaged when the difference in speeds of rotation exceeds a predetermined value within a predetermined time after deselection of the gear.

In a method for referencing the position of an actuating element of a functional unit, in particular of a clutch in the drivetrain of a vehicle, the attainment of a reference position of the actuating element is assessed for plausibility in that it is checked whether a variable which can be applied to the actuating element varies in a predetermined way in a predetermined spacing of the position of the actuating element from the reference position.

Method and device for referencing the position of an actuating element

A process and device for the currentless referencing of a clutch position in non self-locking clutch actuating systems which are switched without current for a first predetermined, passive period of time or until an actuator standstill occurs, in order to verify a clutch reference position, then the clutch position achieved is determined by first measurement and current is supplied to the clutch actuating system for a predetermined, active period of time, the clutch actuating system being then switched again without current for another predetermined, passive period of time or until an actuator standstill occurs, the clutch position being determined by another measurement; finally the measured clutch position is checked to determine whether it can be verified as a new clutch reference position.
