A tool system for machining a workpiece is provided having a cylinder-shaped retaining shank that has a cutting head holder on an end surface facing the workpiece, a drive mount on an end surface facing the drive, a cutting head having at least one cutting edge, a cutting head hub corresponding to the cutting head holder on the retaining shank, a tool coupling with a tool interface, and a coupling hub corresponding to the drive mount. The coupling hub or the cutting head hub have elevated areas, with contact surfaces, distributed in circumferential and longitudinal directions of the coupling hub or the cutting head hub. The contact surfaces make contact on support surfaces on the drive mount or on the cutting head holder on the retaining shank. The drive mount or the cutting head holder is permanently connected to the coupling hub or the cutting head hub by a joining material in intermediate spaces between the elevations.

Tool system for machining a workpiece

A cutting tool for machining a workpiece. The cutting tool comprises a holder and at least two cutting inserts which are separated from each other by a spacer element. The cutting tool may be used to produce two or more bevels (and/or joints and/or grooves) at precisely defined spacings in only one operation. Through the use of spacer elements of different lengths, it is possible to produce bevels at different spacings. The spacer element preferably has an interface which comprises only radial contact surfaces, which run parallel to a longitudinal axis of the spacer element, and a substantially flat axial contact surface, which runs transverse to the longitudinal axis. The length of the spacer element can therefore be shortened on the rear side of the spacer element without destroying said interface.

Cutting tool for machining a workpiece

Embodiments of the invention relate to a reamer for machining a workpiece by chip removal. Embodiments of the reamer can incorporate a holder, having a receiving opening disposed on a workpiece-side end face and having an internal thread, a holder bore extending inside the holder in a longitudinal direction thereof and opening into the receiving opening, an exchangeable head, having a cutting-nose element having a plurality of cutting noses disposed in a distributed manner in a circumferential direction, an exchangeable-head shank having an external thread corresponding to the internal thread disposed in the receiving opening, a bearing contact element disposed between the cutting-nose element and the exchangeable-head shank and having a first bearing contact surface for bearing contact on a first support surface disposed on the workpiece-side end face, with an exchangeable-head bore corresponding to the holder bore extends through the exchangeable head in a longitudinal direction thereof.

Reamer for machining a workpiece by chip removal

The present invention relates to a tool for machining a workpiece, comprising a tool body, a cutting tool and fastening means for fastening the cutting tool in an accommodating recess of the tool body, wherein the cutting tool has a cutting edge and a cutting tool through-bore, and wherein the tool body has a tool body through-bore opening into the accommodating recess. According to the invention, in order to provide a simple possibility of being able to change the cutting tool from both sides, depending on accessibility, the fastening means have a clamping bush provided with an internal thread and a clamping screw provided with an external thread corresponding with the internal thread of the clamping bush, the clamping screw is selectively either inserted through the cutting tool bore into the tool body bore and is screwed to the clamping bush or is inserted from the opposite side through the tool body bore into the cutting tool bore and is screwed to the clamping bush, wherein both ways of inserting of the clamping screw are enabled, and anti-rotation locking means are provided which prevent rotation of the clamping bush about the longitudinal axis thereof during the screwing-down and release by means of the clamping screw, wherein the anti-rotation locking means are formed by a tapered surface on the clamping hush and/or by a tapered surface on the clamping screw head, said tapered surfaces being adapted to at least part of the tool body bore and/or the cutting tool bore.

Tool for machining, in particular straight turning tool

The invention relates to a drilling tool with a base, having a central axis of rotation, and a drill bit, detachably connected to the base. The drill bit has a coupling part, which can be coupled with a coupling receptacle on the face of the base and has at least two convexly curved centring portions, which are arranged such that they are distributed over the circumference and engage with an exact fit in complementary concavely curved centring portions of the coupling receptacle. The coupling part has a complementary driver stop, meshing with a rotary driver of the coupling receptacle. It is claimed as novel that the centring portions of the coupling part and/or of the coupling receptacle have clamping surfaces, which run onto each other in the manner of a rotary wedge until the driver stop and the rotary driver come up against each other counter to a predetermined direction of rotation.

The present invention relates to a tool for machining a workpiece, comprising a tool body, a cutting tool, and fastening means for fastening the cutting tool in a receiving recess of the tool body, the cutting tool having a cutting edge and a cutting-tool through-bore, and the tool body having a tool-body through-bore that opens into the receiving recess, wherein the fastening means comprises a clamping bushing that is provided with an internal thread, and comprises a clamping screw that is provided with an external thread corresponding to the internal thread of the clamping bushing, which are inserted into the cutting-tool bore or into the tool-body bore from opposing sides in order to fasten the cutting tool to the tool body, the clamping bushing is screwed directly to the clamping screw, irrespective of whether it is inserted into the cutting-tool bore or into the tool-body bore, and anti-rotation means are provided to prevent the clamping bushing from rotating about its longitudinal axis when being screwed and undone by means of the clamping screw.

In a tool system for machining, having at least one receptacle for a cutting insert which can be brought at least partly with a bearing surface of convex curvature into contact with a supporting surface of concave curvature on the receptacle, the convexity and concavity of bearing surface and supporting surface, respectively, which face one another, define lines of curvature which are different from one another and of which at least one deviates from the circular form.

Tool system for machining

A cutting machining tool, especially of a boring bar type, has a holding device (), one end of which is provided with a fixing shaft while its other end is provided with a seat () for a removable cutting member (). The cutting member encompasses a support part () which engages at least partly into the seat () in the fixed state and a machining part (). The support part () can be fixed in a clamping manner in the seat () by a fastening part (). The seat () is provided with a rest area (). The cutting member can be securely fixed in the seat across a larger fixing range by a support part due to the fact that the seat () includes a delivery area () in addition to the rest area (). The two areas () are movable towards or away from each other so as to fasten or remove the cutting member () by the fastening part (). Secure fixing and support is achieved by three planar areas that are located on the outer circumference of the support part.

Tool holder for cutting bodies () may be mounted on a base holder () by a fixing device (), and a cooperating stop extending in a plane in the direction of the tool holder. A positive positional fixing against any movement along the three axes of the spatial coordinate system may be obtained. The planar stop is divided into planar sections () by a machined recess (). The recess () forms a seat for housing a projecting matching body () on the base holder (). The walls of the recess () form planar support surfaces () for the matching body (), which each define differing planes perpendicular to the stop, to resist displacement and torsional forces resulting from the cutting force into the matching body () of the base holder ().

Tool holder for cutting bodies

A cutting plate for a processing tool, particularly a milling tool, is connected to a holding device for such a cutting plate. The cutting plate has at least one blade () configured in a radially protruding manner on a central body () of the cutting plate. The central body () is provided with a coupling part for mounting the cutting plate on a frontal seat of a shaft-type holding device () which defines a longitudinal axis. The coupling part forms at least one driving surface transmitting an operating torque from the holding device () to the cutting plate. The cutting plate also includes a shaped part which forms a fixing device on the seat () of the holding device () in cooperation with an associated embodiment ().

A machining tool, especially a milling tool, includes a shaft-like holder defining a longitudinal axis (). A seat () is provided in the front face of the holder for a cutting plate that can be inserted into the holder. The cutting plate has a coupling part for mounting in the seat () of the holder. The coupling part has three ribs which project axially from the end surface of the cutting plate that is opposite the holder and which extend radially. The ribs are provided for engagement in complementary grooves () configured in the seat () of the holder. Their side walls (and) form driving surfaces and support surfaces, which interact for transmitting a machining torque, or as axial position safety-catch, with corresponding surfaces of the flanks of the ribs of the cutting plate. The driving surfaces and the supporting surfaces are formed by limited partial surfaces (and) of the side walls (and) of the grooves () whose other surfaces are retracted in relation to the partial surfaces (and) to form a spacing between the ribs and the walls of the grooves ().

Machining tool, especially a milling tool

A cutting tool, in particular for the turning out of drillings, has a clamping piece () for fixing the tool in a clamp holder. The clamping piece () includes two clamping surfaces (), which converge on each other in the direction of the one side () of the clamping piece (). In the direction of the other side () of the clamping piece (), the clamping surfaces extend into a roof-type surface (). On the side of the clamping piece () facing away from the clamp holder, the clamping surfaces connect to a rod-like neck piece (), which tapers in cross-section relative to the clamping piece (). The free end of the clamping piece is connected to a cutting piece () as one piece, and is provided with a cutting edge () on the external end thereof to which a face () of the cutting piece () connects in the direction of the neck piece (). A high degree of reinforcement for the neck piece and the cutting piece arranged on its free end with its blade or the blade edge is achieved. The neck piece () has two reinforcement pieces running along it, transverse to the plane of the cutting edge (). The reinforcement pieces are reinforcing ribs () which convergently taper in the direction of the cutting piece (), are diametrically opposed in relation to the neck piece () and have their greatest width at the point of transition into the clamping piece ().

A cutting device includes a holder () provided with a jaw-like opening () on a clamping head () that serves to accommodate a metal-cutting tool (). The jaw-like opening () is located on a longitudinal side () of the clamping head (). A face () of the clamping head extends transverse to the longitudinal side (), and faces a workpiece () that rotates during metal-cutting machining. The face () is provided, at least in the area in which it leads into the opening (), with a camber () whose curvature corresponds to the curvature of a workpiece () having the largest diameter intended to be used with the cutting device.

Boring and drilling system

A holding device for machine tool inserts includes a recess delimited by clamping jaws. The recess serves as a clamping seat for the insert. The holding device also includes a slot extending the recess and having a receptacle for a spreading body of a spreader key. The slot has a half-circular expansion on one of its edges serving as a receptacle for the spreading body. The cross section of the spreading body of the spreader key is a polygon outline in the shape of an isosceles triangle whose corners are each rounded with an equal radius of curvature.
