A method and a device are disclosed for identifying and assigning coronary calcification to at least one coronary vessel of a heart in a patient. In at least one embodiment, coronary calcification is identified on the basis of a 3D image data record of the heart in the patient, which data record was generated by an imaging instrument without contrast agent being administered; at least one 3D model of the profile of the coronary vessels in a human is provided; and wherein the identified coronary calcification in the patient is assigned to at least one coronary vessel of the at least one 3D model of the profile of the coronary vessels in a human. At least one embodiment moreover relates to a computer program product, having a computer program that is stored on a medium that can be read by a computational unit, for carrying out the method for identifying and assigning coronary calcification when the computer program is loaded into the computational unit.

A method is proposed for simple and quick setting of an injection pump for image recording. In at least one embodiment of the method, patient-specific and appliance-specific input parameters are entered and a contrast agent protocol is created from the patient-specific and appliance-specific input parameters, by computer, by way of a functional relationship, and the contrast agent protocol is output to the injection pump. Actuation system

An imaging device is disclosed for generating successive tomograms of an object. In at least one embodiment, the imaging device includes a radiation source, a detector, a positioning unit and a control unit for controlling the positioning unit and for evaluating the recorded data of the detector. In at least one embodiment, it is provided that the control unit is set up for matching a contrast medium protocol, in which parameters for contrast medium administration are stored, provided for examinations in a contrast medium device, to a scan protocol provided for the examination, in which operating parameters for generating successive tomograms are stored, for preventing unnecessary administration phases. This provides for a contrast medium examination with the least possible contrast medium administration.

Imaging device and method for operating an imaging device

An operating method is disclosed for an X-ray machine for examining a patient by using a contrast agent in the case of which a preliminary examination is carried out for determining a contrast agent curve in the case of which a series of attenuation values relating to defined scanning instants are acquired at a set scanning position, the contrast agent curve being determined on the basis of the attenuation values, and being stored for a follow-up examination. The contrast agent curve can be loaded during a follow-up examination and need not be determined anew, and so a reduction is attained in the contrast agent used, the applied radiation dose and the examination time. The contrast agent curve can, furthermore, be adapted to the examination situation currently present by taking account of biosignals.

Operating method of an X-ray machine for examining a patient by use of a contrast agent

A device and a method are for operating a computer tomograph and an injector, wherein an injector is used to control injection of a contrast medium and a computer tomograph to control a scanning process. Data regarding operation are transmitted between the computer tomograph and the injector via a data interface, especially in a reciprocal manner. The two devices reciprocally influence their operation, thereby reducing the strain imposed on a patient to be examined, increasing operational reliability and simplifying handling.
