A hydraulic unit for an electronically slip-controllable power brake system of a motor vehicle. A cuboidal housing block is equipped with components for generating a braking pressure and for open- or closed-loop control thereof. On a motor side of the housing block, a motor is fastened to drive a braking pressure generator, while on a reservoir side, a reservoir is provided to supply the vehicle brake system with a pressure medium. The reservoir has at least one protruding fastening peg, which projects into a recess open to the outside on the housing block. Using a retaining pin inserted into a transverse bore of the housing block and passing through this recess, the reservoir is anchored to the housing block. The transverse bore, open on the motor side of the housing block, is in a flat portion in which a pin head of the retaining pin lies without the pin head protruding axially beyond a motor side of the housing block.

The power cylinder borehole is configured with a larger diameter axially outside the guide section. A brake fluid channel extends through the guide section up to an opening of a brake fluid line.

To extend a power cylinder bore in a hydraulic block of a power brake system, a cylinder cover, which is in the form of a cylinder tube and is closed at one end, is fastened by means of a circumferential caulking in a fastening groove of the hydraulic block which encloses the power cylinder bore. An interference fit of a fastening flange of the cylinder cover in the fastening groove reliably seals the cylinder cover against the hydraulic block in a pressure-proof manner.

A pump assembly for generating pressure in a brake circuit of a controllable power brake system of a motor vehicle. The pump assembly has, as a pressure generator, a piston-cylinder unit in which a piston is actuated with the aid of a piston drive. The piston drive converts a rotational movement, with which a nut of this piston drive is driven, into a translatory movement of a spindle, which is in turn connected to the piston in a rotationally fixed manner. The piston is a steel component in which a plastic deformation at a piston head forms a device for connecting the spindle to the piston in a rotationally fixed manner.

In order to prevent rotation of a piston of a hydraulic unit of a hydraulic vehicle braking system, a sleeve is provided having axially parallel cylindrical pins constituting rotation prevention elements on its inner circumference, the rear ends of which elements are pressed into axially parallel holes in an inwardly projecting flange of the sleeve, and the front ends of which are inserted into axially parallel blind holes in a diameter step in a mouth of the cylindrical hole in a hydraulic block of the hydraulic unit. A pedal-travel simulator of a hydraulic power vehicle brake system is connected to a brake-fluid reservoir by way of a groove between two piston seals of a power brake-pressure generator. Any air bubbles in the brake fluid get out of the pedal-travel simulator into the brake-fluid reservoir, and the piston seals are lubricated with the brake fluid.
