A heat-sensitive recording material has a web-shaped substrate, having a front side and a reverse side opposite the front side, a heat-sensitive recording layer disposed to the front side of the web-shaped substrate, including at least one dye precursor and at least one (color) developer reactive with this at least one dye precursor. A front-side surface of the heat-sensitive recording material is formed dehesively with respect to layers of adhesive applied to the reverse side of the web-shaped substrate. The dehesive front-side surface includes a furnish which is disposed above the heat-sensitive recording layer and comprises at least one release agent. A diffusion layer is formed between the furnish and the heat-sensitive recording layer. A method for producing a heat-sensitive recording material of this kind, and possibilities for its use.

Heat-sensitive recording material

A method for producing a heat-sensitive recording material comprises: preparing a first coating composition, which includes as color acceptor 4,4'-dihydroxydiphenyl sulfone, at least one sensitizer selected from the list of methylolstearamide, stearic acid amide, and dimethyl terephtalate; preparing a second coating composition, which includes: from 65 to 95% by weight of one or more (meth)acrylate from 0 to 20% by weight of photoinitiators and from 0.5 to 20% by weight of wax; applying the prepared first coating composition to form the heat-sensitive recording layer on the front side of the substrate; drying the first coating composition; applying the second coating composition to form the protective layer covering the heat-sensitive recording layer; crosslinking the protective layer covering the heat-sensitive recording layer; applying the second coating composition to form the coating on the back side of the substrate; crosslinking the coating.

Method for producing a heat-sensitive recording material

A heat-sensitive recording material includes at least a substrate, a heat-sensitive recording layer arranged on the front side of the substrate and has at least one color former and at least one color acceptor, wherein the color former and color acceptor react with one another under the action of heat to form color, a protective layer covering the heat-sensitive recording layer, a barrier coating which contains ethylene vinyl alcohol copolymer (EVOH) and suitable for protecting the heat-sensitive recording layer against penetration of chemicals causing uncontrolled desensitizing reactions and color reactions in the heat-sensitive recording layer, wherein the barrier coating is arranged between the substrate and the heat-sensitive recording layer, and a tincture, as authenticating security feature, introduced into the substrate and/or applied to at least one side of the substrate.

A heat-sensitive recording material includes at least a paper substrate, a heat-sensitive recording layer arranged on the front side of the substrate and which has at least one dye precursor and at least one color acceptor, wherein dye precursor and color acceptor react with one another under the action of heat to form color, and an authenticating security feature. The authenticating security feature is a mark which is applied to the back side of the paper substrate and which is made of a tincture having at least one organic solvent. A barrier coating is arranged between the substrate and heat-sensitive recording layer and is suitable to protect the heat-sensitive recording layer against penetration of the tincture into the heat-sensitive recording layer from the back side.

Heat-sensitive recording material having authenticity feature

A heat-sensitive recording sheet is formed as a laminate and includes at least a first and a second web material. The first web material has a substrate of paper with a watermark and the second web material has at least a substrate and a heat-sensitive recording layer.

Thermosensitive recording material and use thereof

Recording paper includes a stock sizing and/or surface preparation, a front side for receiving recordings and a reverse side configured differently from the front. The reverse exhibits excellent printability coupled with improved drying of printing inks when using offset printing inks that contain functional pigments and in particular magnetizable particles, while preventing the printable ink and the functional pigments, in particular the magnetizable particles, from penetrating too deeply into the paper.
