A pressure generating device generates a hydraulic pressure as a result of a tensile or compressive load. The device has connections, one of which can be rigidly connected to a frame by way of a mechanism for introducing a mechanical tensile or compressive load, a pressure cylinder and a piston unit extending at least partially and flexibly in the pressure cylinder and bounding a hydraulic chamber filled with hydraulic fluid jointly with the pressure cylinder. The chamber has a simple and inexpensive construction. The connections are connected to the pressure cylinder or the piston unit by way of a coupling device that is configured such that the same hydraulic chamber has pressure applied thereto under tensile load and under compressive load.

Support cylinder for a self-energizing hydraulic brake

A braking device for braking a moving mass includes a movably guided coupling member for pressing a brake lining against a braking surface, a brake cylinder, filled with a hydraulic liquid, a brake piston which is movable inside the brake cylinder and which is connected to the coupling member. At least one hydraulic line can be connected to the brake cylinder. The device ensures the moving masses to be reliably decelerated. For that purpose, a fluidic-mechanical safety brake device is used to connect the brake cylinder to the one or more hydraulic lines.

A compact and light-weight hydraulic accumulator configuration for a hydraulic brake includes a high-pressure storage chamber, a medium-pressure storage chamber and an atmospheric-pressure storage chamber. The high-pressure storage chamber, the medium-pressure storage chamber and the atmospheric-pressure storage chamber are disposed in a common housing which delimits the high-pressure storage chamber along with a high-pressure piston movably guided within the housing while delimiting the medium-pressure storage chamber along with a medium-pressure piston movably guided within the housing. A high-pressure spring located in the housing rests on the high-pressure piston outside the high-pressure storage chamber and a medium-pressure spring located in the housing rests on the medium-pressure piston outside the medium-pressure storage chamber.
