A request is received to perform an exploration in a predictive and maintenance service application. A sequence of explorations is added in an evidence package. The evidence package includes the list of micro services. The sequence of explorations in the evidence package are analyzed. Based on the analysis, a user behavior corresponding to the performed exploration is identified. The user behavior is provided as input to the machine learning algorithm. Configuration data corresponding to the exploration and the evidence package is stored in a configuration database. The machine learning algorithm is executed in an execution engine. The execution engine is a micro service. Based on execution of the machine learning algorithm, the list of micro services is automatically identified as recommendations. The list of micro services is displayed as recommendations in the predictive and maintenance service application.

Recommendation non-transitory computer-readable medium, method, and system for micro services

In one embodiment, a method receiving a specification of a manufacturing system that is generated using a modeling language. The modeling language allows a layout of machines to be specified. Available software systems from a software provider are retrieved and the specification is analyzed to determine applicable software systems for the manufacturing system. The method generates a configuration based on the analysis of the layout of the machines for the manufacturing system. The configuration specifies instances of software systems to be installed on the machines and an edge system between the manufacturing system and a remote computing environment. The instances of the software systems are deployed on the edge system and the machines and the edge system orchestrates operations on the machines operating in the manufacturing system in real-time. Also, the edge system communicates with the remote computing environment for non-real time operations on the set of machines.

Structured exploration of available data provides insight allowing early detection/analysis of emerging issues. An in-memory database engine applies specialized information sources and filter criteria to an original data set to successively produce various exploration levels. Evidence relating to a particular exploration level (e.g., resulting data subset, metadata indicating chains of information sources/filter criteria) are stored at the user's instruction within an evidence package of the in-memory database. Information sources may be licensed from third parties, and may be present in the in-memory database. To improve computer performance, embodiments may delete results of previous exploration levels outside of the evidence package. Evidence from the evidence package may be displayed to afford insight into relationships between data subsets and an emerging issue. One structured exploration references a source of geographic information (e.g., pipeline location) and another source of (tractor) warranty claim information, to correlate tractor location with an emerging fuel pump issue.

Emerging issue detection and analysis

Software solutions in a business software framework can expose their data via web services, which can readily provide access to all non-customized fields of objects included as part of the default installation of the software solution. However, customer-added extensions, such as for example custom fields and the like, added to customize the software solution for a specific business or business use can be difficult to add to web services by a typical business user who lacks technical abilities. Described herein are approaches to enabling addition of custom fields to web services via an intuitive interface that does not require technical understanding of the software solution, the business software framework, web services, etc.

According to some embodiments, a business service provider may define a stable user interface anchor entity associated with a business object data structure. A reference field may be associated with the stable user interface anchor, the reference field representing a path to a persistent node of the business object data structure. Transporting of flexibility changes of customer content between tenants in a multi-tenant computing system can be performed by exporting customer content from a first tenant of the multi-tenant computing system, transporting the customer content exported from the first tenant to a second tenant of the multi-tenant computing system, importing the customer content into a staging area in the second tenant to enable a user associated with second tenant to access the customer content via the staging area based on a content extraction trigger, and activating selected customer content from the staging area in a productive component of the second tenant. The content extraction trigger can characterize an extraction of at least some of the customer content from the staging area. Related methods, systems, and articles of manufacture are also disclosed.

Transport of customer flexibility changes in a multi-tenant environment

A system and method for creating extension fields for business objects are described. In various embodiments, a system includes modules to display business processes and business objects thereof in graphical user interface screens. In various embodiments, the system propagates created extension fields to other business objects via metadata derived from selections in the graphical user interface. In various embodiments, a method for propagating extension fields from one business object to another business object via a data flow between the two business objects is presented. In various embodiments, the method receives instructions from a graphical user interface for the propagation of an extension field and sends instructions to a backend module to propagate the extension field from the source business object to the other business object.
