An apparatus for carrying out an eye-related measurement on a person includes a device for generating a fixation target with a holographic element. To generate the fixation target, the holographic element is illuminated by a light source. As a result of the illumination, the fixation target arises as a virtual holographic object. The eye-related measurement is conducted on an eye or the eyes of the person fixating the fixation target. Information is conveyed to the person by switching between different fixation targets.

A method and an apparatus serve for checking the centering of spectacles worn by a spectacle wearer. Method and apparatus for checking the centering of spectacles worn by a spectacle wearer

An eyesight testing apparatus examines associated heterophoria of the eyes of a subject. The apparatus includes an image generation device having a display unit for generating test patterns for display to the eyes. An optical assembly is arranged on that side of the display unit facing the eyes. This assembly separates light supplied by a first group of selected zones of the display unit from light supplied to a beam path by a second group of selected zones of the display unit. The left eye only receives the light from the first group. The light from the second group only passes to the right eye. The optical assembly includes a prism matrix having a multiplicity of prism portions extending in the vertical direction and each having a lens-shaped region with a convex surface facing the display unit.

Eyesight testing device

A measuring brace is removably fastened to a spectacle frame. The measuring brace has a traverse and two legs. A front face of the measuring brace is provided with at least three front target marks for measuring the forward angle (&#x3b1;) of a spectacle frame to be measured. At least one of the front target marks is disposed spatially offset relative to the at least two other front target marks, essentially perpendicular to the front face of the measuring brace. The measuring brace has coupled clamping elements provided for fastening the spectacle frame (). In addition, a measuring brace is suggested which is removably fixed to a spectacle frame and in which at least three lateral target marks () are provided for measuring an angle of twist (&#x3b5;). An apparatus () for determining centering data for eyeglasses () comprises a fixation device () and a recording unit () that can be triggered by a computer, records electronic images, and is disposed behind a divider element (). The fixation device () produces at least one speckle pattern. The speckles can be superposed by different patterns, for example, a cross shape. The invention further relates to a method for determining centering data. The inventive method and apparatus allow to measure for test persons having the most different acuity of vision the relative centering data from a short distance while maintaining their usual posture.
