Disclosed is a moisture curable adhesive composition comprising at least one silane-modified polymer, a filler comprising a surface modified fumed silica and one of a surface modified cristobalite and a silica; and optionally, at least one of an aminosilane adhesion promotor, an organotin catalyst, a dehydration shelf life enhancer, a light stabilizer, titanium dioxide, a rheology modifier, and mixtures thereof. The adhesive composition finds special use in bonding metal substrates to each other with significantly higher bond strength than that provided by silane-modified polymer adhesives alone.

High strength, silane-modified polymer adhesive composition

A moisture-curing two-component composition consisting of a component A containing at least one polyoxyalkylene, polyolefin and/or polyacrylate prepolymer having at least one hydrolysable silane group and at least one solid inert additive selected from hydrocarbons, polyesters or polyamides, a component B containing at least one crosslinking compound for the prepolymers, and auxiliary substances and additives in one or both components, the component A and the two-component composition each having hot-melt adhesive properties.

Two-component hot-melt adhesive

The invention aims to improve temperature resistance for a curable composition based on a silyl-terminated polymer. This is achieved by using a combination of at least two phenolic compounds, of which one is free of thioether groups, while the other contains at least one thioether group in at least one alkyl side chain. The invention further relates to the use of the curable composition as an adhesive, sealant and/or coating substance and to the use of the combination of phenolic compounds to increase the temperature stability in curable compositions.

The invention relates to curable compositions comprising a) at least one organic polymer selected from polyethers and polyacrylic acid esters, wherein the organic polymer has at least one defined, cross-linkable end group having at least one C-C-alkoxy- or C-C-acyloxy radical, b) at least one poly(dialkylsiloxane) having at least one defined, cross-linkable end group having at least one vinyl radical and likewise at least one C-C-alkoxy- or C-C-acyloxy radical and c) at least one flame-retarding additive selected from red phosphorus, organic phosphor compounds, ammonia polyphosphate, metal hydroxides, expandable graphite, zinc borate and melamine salts, to the use of such compositions as adhesive, sealing or coating material, in particular for providing a substrate having a flame-retardant, elastic coating, to a coating thus obtained and to the use of at least one poly(dialkylsiloxane) b) to improve the fire properties of a curable composition comprising at least one organic polymer a).

A one-component moisture-curing adhesive containing at least one flowable polyoxyalkylene or polyacrylate prepolymer with at least one hydrolyzable silane group, at least one inert additive solid at room temperature selected from hydrocarbon resins, polyesters or polyamides with a softening point of 40 to 150&#xb0; C., together with auxiliary substances and additives.

Solidifying adhesives having silane cross-linking

Monocomponent water-hardening adhesive/sealant compositions comprising mixtures of at least one silane-functional polyoxyalkylene prepolymer and at least one silane-functional polyolefin are described. These compositions may optionally comprise other nonpolar plasticizers, as well as catalysts, fillers, and adhesives. Such adhesive/sealant compositions exhibit outstanding adhesion to plastic substrates and to painted surfaces, whereby the adhesion is maintained even after storage in wet conditions.

Prepolymer mixture containing silyl groups and use thereof

A mixture of at least two thermoplastic particles having reactive grups which when melted and mixed react to form a high molecular weight polymer. The blend of particles when molten is particularly useful in forming double insulating glass or plastic panels.
