A tube for the conduction or discharge of wet flue gases subjected to a scrubbing has a helically formed guide element on an inner surface of the tube and having a plurality of turns. A film trap is provided on the inner surface of the tube between adjacent turns of the guide element.

A device in a pipe has an annular partition spaced radially inwardly from an inner face of the pipe and defining therewith an upstream annular space opening axially upstream of the direction into the pipe such that a secondary gas stream is separated from the primary gas stream along with a liquid film on the inner surface, a downstream annular space larger than the upstream annular space, and a droplet separator opening into the downstream annular space. The separator has a plurality of lamellas, a condensate sump, and a drain, so that the edge film intercepted by the partition into the upstream space passes therefrom into the downstream space and therefrom through the separator such that the liquid of the film flows into the sump and out the drain and the secondary gas stream passes out of the separator.

The invention relates to a mist eliminator system for gas scrubbers and the like. Said mist eliminator system comprises front and rear mist elimination layers in relation to the direction of the flow of gas, which layers are composed of respective rows of parallel mist elimination profiles, one layer of which being configured in the shape of a V or of an upturned V and the lateral sections of this layer extending away from the corresponding lateral sections of the other layer or extending in parallel thereto. Both mist elimination layers can be or are received on a single common carrier structure by a common lateral wall or a common supporting structure on which the lateral walls of the mist elimination layers are stationarily or detachably arranged.

Illustrated and described is an apparatus for the separation of liquid drops or particulate solids from a gas stream comprising a plurality of parallel separator plates, a flow passage being formed between every two separator plates, each separator plate having at least one wave crest disposed approximately in its center and two wave troughs disposed at its edge on the inlet side and the outlet side, respectively, and forming an inlet section and an outlet section, respectively, as well as impingement-wall sections formed between the wave crest and the wave troughs, a main phase-separator chamber open in a direction counter to the direction of the gas flow being formed externally on the wave crest. In accordance with the invention, high separation efficiency with low pressure drop or low energy loss is obtained by providing an inlet nozzle formed in the inlet section, the gas stream being directable by means of the inlet nozzle onto the region on the inlet side of the opposite impingement-wall section.
