A braking device for a movable door leaf according to the invention comprises at least one generator, at the output terminals of which, a generator voltage can be generated, by means of which a charging circuit for supplying an open-loop and/or closed-loop control unit may be charged, by means of which an electric braking device, such as, in particular, a braking motor or the like, is controllable, which generates an effective braking force for damping the movement of the door leafs. Therein, the generator shaft of the generator is rotatable for generating the generator voltage with the discharging of a mechanical generator energy storage specifically associated with the generator, which is charged by a respective opening or closing movement of the door, and, during a respective closing or opening movement of the door, is mechanically decoupled from the same or its axis of rotation, and discharges in the state mechanically decoupled from the door leaf or its axis of rotation. Further specified is a door closer, having a rotatable door closer axis, coupleable with a door leaf, cooperating with a mechanical door closer energy storage device, and a correspondingly designed braking device.

Braking device for a movable door leaf and door closer having such a braking device

A braking device for a movable door leaf comprises an electric braking motor to damp movement of the door leaf; a motor shaft coupleable with an axis of rotation of the door leaf; and a control unit to control the electric braking motor. A generator provides power to the control unit. A continuously variable transmission unit between the axis of rotation of the door leaf and either the motor shaft of the electric braking motor or the separate generator is controlled by a mechanical control such that the motor shaft of the electric braking motor and/or the separate generator, can be driven at a rotational speed independent of the rotational speed of the rotational axle of the door leaf. Also included is a door closer, having a rotatable door closer axis, coupleable with a door leaf, cooperating with a mechanical energy storage device, and a correspondingly designed braking device.

Drive for a door leaf or window leaf

A system for fixing and/or emergency opening of a leaf of a door, a window or other closure comprises a drive having at least one mechanical energy storage device, at least one electric motor having a motor shaft operatively connected to the leaf, and control electronics for controlling the electric motor. The electric motor can be actuated by the control electronics both for damping of the leaf movements and for fixing of the leaf against a force of the mechanical storage device and/or for electric motor-driven emergency opening of the leaf.

A braking device for a moveable door leaf includes an electrical brake motor operated as a generator. Braking device for a movable door leaf and a door closer having such a braking device

A braking device for a movable door wing comprises an electric motor operated as a generator with a motor shaft which is rotatable by a movement of the door wing and which expends motion-dependent motor voltage at a contact pair, as well as a braking circuit upon which the motor voltage is applied or applicable and via which, the contact pair is short-circuitable in order to dampen a movement of the door wing. It is provided that the braking circuit comprises two anti-serially arranged field-effect transistors wherein their drain terminals are connected each to another contact of the contact pair and wherein their source terminals are connected to each other and preferably also connected to earth or a zero line, so that the contact pair is short-circuited depending on the switching state of the field effect transistors. Alternatively or in addition to such a design of the braking circuit, provision is made that the electric motor is designed as a brushless electric motor with a plurality of stator coils, in each of which an AC voltage is induced as a function of the movement of the door wing, and that one of the AC voltages induced in the stator coils is outputted at the contact pair. The braking circuit comprises a partial braking circuit to which the alternating voltage output on the contact pair is applied or can be applied and via which, the contact pair can be short-circuited.

Braking device

A drive unit for closing a leaf of a door or a window comprises an energy accumulator for providing a closing force for closing the leaf, a damping device which counteracts the closing force and has an electric motor which can be operated as a generator and can be coupled to an actuating element of the drive unit, and a control device for controlling the electric motor. The control device is designed to determine a nominal path curve which indicates a position of the leaf or a closing speed of the leaf in dependence upon time, and to perform the control of the electric motor in order to damp the closing movement of the leaf on the basis of the established target path curve.

The invention relates to a braking device () for a moving door leaf () comprising a generator (), the at least one generator shaft () of which can be rotated via a movement of the door leaf (), and at the connection terminals of which a movement-dependent first output voltage occurs, which is applied to an evaluation and control electronics system () having an evaluation and control unit and a braking circuit. The braking circuit generates an effective braking force for damping the movement of the door leaf (), wherein the braking circuit () has at least one switch element, via which the connection terminals can be short-circuited, as well as a door closer () having a braking device of this type. According to the invention, a second output voltage of the generator () is applied to a charging circuit (), which stores electrical energy for supplying the evaluation and control electronics system () with power.

A system for monitoring safety-relevant functions of a door closer for the leaf of a door being used in particular as a fire protection barrier, of a window, or the like comprises a sensor system associated with the door closer for detecting predefinable operating variables of the door closer and a control and/or evaluation device connected to the sensor system for monitoring compliance with predefinable safety functions of the door closer on the basis of the operating variables detected by the sensor system.

A braking device for a movable door leaf comprises an electric motor operated as a generator, whose shaft is rotatable through a movement of the door leaf and at whose terminals a movement-dependent motor voltage is created and a brake circuit to which the motor voltage is applied or could be applied and which can be short-circuited via the motor terminals to dampen movement of the door leaf. In addition, the braking device comprises an emergency brake circuit to which the motor voltage is applied or applicable and via which the motor terminals can be short-circuited to dampen a movement of the door leaf. In doing so, means are provided which are designed to detect the presence of a malfunction of the brake circuit and to short-circuit the motor terminals via the emergency brake circuit when the presence of a malfunction of the brake circuit is detected.

In a method for the commissioning of a door or window closer which comprises an energy accumulator, a damping device with an electric motor being operable as a generator and a transmission element, the leaf is opened and/or closed at least once in a teach-in process, the angular position of the motor shaft is detected during opening and/or closing, a functional relationship is determined between the angular position of the motor shaft and an angular position of the rotatable leaf at least over an area of the opening width of the leaf and the functional connection is automatically taken as a basis for a subsequent actuation of the electric motor for the damping of the closing movement of the leaf.

Method for the commissioning of a door or window closer

The invention relates to a braking mechanism () for a movable door wing () with an electric motor () operating as a generator, the at least one drive shaft of which can be rotated by a movement of the door wing (), and at the terminals thereof, a movement-dependent output voltage is produced, which is applied to an evaluation and control unit (), and a stop spring () which damps a manual opening movement of the door wing () between a predetermined opening angle and a maximum opening angle with a constant first damping, and a corresponding door with a braking mechanism of this type. In accordance with to the invention, the evaluation and control unit () performs a pulse width modulation (PWM) of the motor current cooperating with the output voltage and establishes an effective sequence of braking force, which generates a variable second damping of the opening movement of the door wing (), so that the door wing (), when released, stops upon reaching the maximum opening angle.

The energy storage device is hereby controllable in its energy discharge by means of a control system. The control system has an electrically controllable control element.
