The invention relates to a locking device of a motor vehicle, having a key () and a lock cylinder, wherein the lock cylinder comprises a cylinder core rotatably supported in a cylinder housing of the lock cylinder, a channel comprising the cylinder core and into which the key () can be inserted, spring-loaded tumbler elements displaceably supported radial to the cylinder axis of the lock cylinder when inserting the key () into the channel radial to the cylinder axis of the lock cylinder, the plurality of outer surfaces () on the key () comprising at least two encoding strips () acting on the tumbler elements when the key () is inserted.

Locking device

A locking device comprises a key () and a locking cylinder (). The locking cylinder () in turn is composed of a stationary cylinder housing () and a cylinder core () rotatably supported therein. In order to increase the break-in safety, it is proposed to use two types of plate closures () in the cylinder core (), the displacement of that closure pointing into two radial directions () that differ from each other. The key () comprises planar outer surfaces () disposed at an angle to each other, the two types of plate closures () being parallel displaceable to said surfaces. Each of the two adjoining outer surfaces () has a dedicated linear control path (), which varies in adjoining key sections transversely to the key longitudinal direction () for coding the key (). Accordingly, the plate closures () have a pair of mating sampling sites (), which are disposed in defined positions and interact with the associated control path () when the key () is inserted and generate a mating coding analogous thereto in the locking cylinder (). Each of the two types of plate closures () engages on the dedicated control path () thereof.

Locking device comprising a key and a locking cylinder

In order to enable a turning of a key of a lock cylinder onto a driven member (shaft) in the lock cylinder only when a proper key is inserted, yet to prohibit the turning in case of an overload, an overload lock is arranged therebetween. The driven member (shaft) should specifically actuate functions in the vehicle only if the correct key is used. A threshold rotation torque determines the change between the normal and the overload state. In order to improve the lock cylinder, it is furnished that a disengaging lever () is mounted in the cylinder housing () in a pivotable manner () and can be displaced between two pivot positions in a radial plane defined by the longitudinal axis () of the lock cylinder. A locking cam () belonging to the overload lock is arranged on the free end of the disengaging lever (). When the disengaging lever pivots, a carrier () pivots in unison, the carrier having a coupling part which engages in a counter coupling part of the cylinder core () during normal function. The disengaging lever () and the carrier () form a common pivot unit. In case of overload, wherein a rotation of the cylinder core force, the carrier () is decoupled from the cylinder core ().

Lock cylinder particularly for functions which can be carried out in a vehicle

The invention relates to a maintaining and contacting device for a round cell battery and to the use of said type of maintaining and contacting device in remote control devices in order to lock and unlock motor vehicles. According to said type of devices, the battery area must be separated as much as possible from other electronic components in order to prevent destructive contact. Spring clips, which are connected to the electronic system by means of a cable and soldered connections, are used in order to make contact with the upper and lower side of the round cell battery. Leaf-spring like contact elements, which are connected to the battery area forming a non-positive fit connection with an electronic module which is to be supplied, are used in order to prevent a complex construction and in order to enable the battery area to be accessed in an easy manner.

Holding and contact-making apparatus for a button cell, and method for its production

A lock device having a key and a lock cylinder. The lock cylinder includes a fixed cylinder housing and a cylinder core mounted to rotate therein. The key shaft () has an edge profile and may be inserted in a key way of the cylinder core in which displaceable tumblers () are located transverse to the above. The key shaft () has profiled recesses running in the longitudinal direction. The recesses have a pair of follow points for each tumbler () for coding the key, whilst the tumbler () has a pair of counter follow points which are the basis of the corresponding counter coding. A space-saving design of the lock device is achieved with a large range of variation for the coding wherein both follow points are on the key shaft () in the form of recesses, arranged on opposing lateral surfaces to an edge () of the edge profile of the key shaft (). A web () is thus generated in the corner region of the edge profile between both recesses. The web functions as a code web (), as the opposing web edges serve for the coding. The corresponding tumblers () have a cut-out, which in use enclose the code web () on opposing web edges. The lateral limits of the cut-out form the counter follow points in the tumblers ().

Lock device with a lock cylinder and a key

A locking device having a locking cylinder and a key. The locking cylinder includes a cylinder core with tumblers in a cylinder core, which is rotatably mounted in a cylinder housing. Standard coding for the key is produced by a step with longitudinal profiling on at least one flat side of the edge profile of the key, said step being associated with a counter step on the tumbler. In addition to the standard coding produced by step and counter step, the key has at least one set of beveled edge coding in a corner section of the edge profile. The beveled edged coding consists of recesses in the form of beveled cuts in the corresponding corner sections of the edge profile, relative to which are provided counter touching points in the corresponding tumbler. In a section of the key shaft, either the standard coding or beveled edge coding can optionally be used, thereby considerably increasing the diversity of the locking device while retaining the space-saving design.
