A sealing device includes a functional layer having a first major surface and a second major surface and a barrier layer directly or indirectly connected to the second major surface of the functional layer, wherein the functional layer has a surface roughness having a waviness factor W. Also disclosed is a method for producing a sealing device and the use of a sealing device for waterproofing of a substrate.

A contact layer used in waterproofing and roofing applications. The contact layer includes a mineral binder component B, thermoplastic polymer component P, and a surfactant component S. Also, a method for producing the contact layer, a method for binding two substrates to each other, a method for waterproofing a substrate, a waterproofed structure, a method for sealing a substrate against water penetration, a sealed construction for sealing a substrate against water penetration and a use of the contact layer as a waterproofing membrane.

A thermoplastic mixture is described that includes at least one impact-resistant polypropylene copolymer and at least one ethylene-1-octene copolymer. The weight ratio of impact-resistant polypropylene copolymer to ethylene-1-octene copolymer can be in the range of 35:65 to 65:35. The thermoplastic mixture has a high melting point and excellent flexibility. The mixture is suitable in particular for roof membranes and waterproofing membranes.

A composition having at least one structural adhesive and at least one chemically crosslinked elastomer based on the silane-functional, non-polar polymer, said elastomer being provided in the form of a penetrating polymer network in the structural adhesive. Self-supporting adhesive bodies, particularly in the form of adhesive tapes, can be produced from such compositions and can be used for structural bonds and to reinforce metal structures.

The present invention relates to a sealing device () which comprises a barrier layer () with a thermoplastic polymer P1, and an adhesive layer () with at least one ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA) P2 and azo-dicarbonamide A, and which is suitable for sealing bases in the building sector. The invention further relates to a method for sealing said bases. The method according to the invention allows structures of civil engineering to be sealed rapidly and efficiently and ensures good adhesion of the sealing device on the base.

The present invention relates to a sealing device () comprising a barrier layer () and an adhesive layer (), and which is suitable for sealing bases in the building sector. The adhesive layer comprises a polymer P2, the polymer P2 being polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) or a copolymer of ethylene and propylene, and a polyolefin-based polymer P3, the polymer P3 having at least one functional group which is selected from the group consisting of carboxylic acids, OH-groups, anhydrides, acetates and glycidyl methacrylate, and azo-dicarbonamide A. The invention further relates to a method for sealing the said bases. The method according to the invention allows structures of civil engineering to be sealed rapidly and efficiently and ensures good adhesion of the sealing device on the base.

The invention describes a foamable thermoplastic mixture, comprising (A) at least one thermoplastic polymer selected from ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), ethylene methyl acrylate copolymer (EMA), ethylene butyl acrylate copolymer (EBA), ethylene-hexene copolymer, ethylene-butene copolymer, ethylene-octene copolymer, polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and ethylene-propylene copolymer, (B) at least one long chain branched polymer as a foam stabilizer selected from ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), ethylene methyl acrylate copolymer (EMA), ethylene butyl acrylate copolymer (EBA), ethylene-hexene copolymer, ethylene-butene copolymer, ethylene-octene copolymer, polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP) and ethylene-propylene copolymer and (C) at least one chemical blowing agent, wherein the long chain branched polymer (B) is present in an amount of 1 to 30 wt. % relative to the total weight of thermoplastic polymer (A) and long chain branched polymer (B), and at least one of the following distinguishing features applies to the thermoplastic polymer (A) and the long chain branched polymer (B): 1) the value of the melt flow index (MFI) of the long chain branched polymer (B) (MFI(B)) is smaller than the MFI value of the thermoplastic polymer (A) (MFI(A)), wherein MFI(B) is a maximum of 50% of MFI(A), 2) the g value of the long chain branched polymer (B) (g(B)) is smaller than the g value of the thermoplastic polymer (A) (g(A)), wherein g(B) is a maximum of 80% of g(A), 3) the polymer type of the long chain branched polymer (B) differing from the polymer type of the thermoplastic polymer (A). The foamable thermoplastic mixture can be injection molded without foaming and is suitable for the production of low-density foams which can be used, for example, as damping materials or foamed membranes.

A composition including at least one curable structural adhesive, and at least one chemically crosslinked elastomer on the bases of a silane-functional polymer, wherein the elastomer is in the form of an interpenetrating polymer network in the structural adhesive. The composition can be used to form a shape-memory material and is suitable for reinforcing cavities in structural components such as, for example, in automobile bodies.
