An MRI system and method for generating MR images is provided. An MR signals acquisition unit is configured to generate a main magnetic field, orienting the magnetization of blood within a subject, and first inversion/non-inversion RF pulses such that predetermined sequences of blood boli with inverted/non-inverted magnetization are generated. First inversion/non-inversion MR signals can be acquired, which are caused by the influence on the magnetization by the first inversion/non-inversion RF pulses. MR images may be generated by an image generation unit based on imaging MR signals, acquired after the sequences of inverted and non-inverted blood boli have been flowed from the first region to the part to be imaged, and the predetermined sequences. An evaluation unit is configured to evaluate the inverting of the magnetization in the first region based on the first inversion and/or non-inversion MR signals. In one embodiment, the labeling efficiency of a pseudo continuous arterial spin labeling (pCASL) MRI experiment is performed.

The invention relates to an imaging system for generating a series of images of a subject. Fluid boli are generated at a first location of the subject, wherein each fluid bolus comprises a sequence of sub-boli and wherein images of the series of images are acquired at a second location of the subject, after the fluid boli have been flowed to the second location. A sub-bolus length is determined based on at least one image of the already acquired images of the series of images, wherein a further fluid bolus comprising a sequence of sub-boli is generated at the first location, wherein at least one of the sub-boli has the determined sub-bolus length, and wherein a further image of the series of images is acquired at the second location of the subject, after the further fluid bolus has been flowed from the first location to the second location.

The invention relates to an ultrasound image generating system for generating an image of an object. The ultrasound image generating system comprises an ultrasound data provisioning unit for providing raw ultrasound data of the object, which data have been acquired using an ultrasound imaging modality. A trained unit provisioning unit provides a unit trained by machine learning, such as a trained neural network, which is configured to generate an ultrasound image of an object based on of raw ultrasound data of the object that does not correspond to the ultrasound imaging modality. An image generating unit generates the image of the object using the provided trained unit, based on of the provided raw ultrasound data of the object.

The system, method and computer program of the invention allow for an improved determination of at least part of a pulse sequence.

A magnetic resonance system for generating magnetic resonance data of a flowing fluid is featured. A plurality of magnetic resonance measurements are carried out, wherein in each measurement a) the fluid is either magnetically labeled or not labeled at different first points in time in a first region, so as to generate a flowing sequence of labeled and/or unlabeled fluid boli, and b) first magnetic resonance data are measured at a second point in time in a second region. Second magnetic resonance data are determined, each of which are indicative of a combination fluid bolus&#x2014;combined from a plurality of fluid boli generated at different first points in time and flowing to the second region&#x2014;and a time interval between one of the first points in time and the second point in time, based on a combination of the first magnetic resonance data measured in the different magnetic resonance measurements.
