A modulator for a vehicle brake system connected to a central module via a data bus, includes at least one input for capturing measured values and at least one output for controlling at least one electromagnetic valve. A control circuit for actuating the valve is connected by the bus such that the measured values are transmitted to the central module. Control commands for actuating the valve are calculated from the measured values in the central module, and are transmitted via the data bus to the modulator so that the it selects the valve as a function of the commands. A vehicle system has at least two modulators and a central module integrated in a modulator. The modulator can be used as a pressure modulator in an air suspension system or in an electronic braking system or in a conventional braking system with an anti-lock braking system or an electronic stability program.

Modulator

An electronic unit housing includes (i) a receiving space for receiving a printed circuit board, (ii) at least one foot, which is designed to fasten the electronic unit housing onto a base, and is disposed to the side of the receiving space relative to a projection of the receiving space onto the base, and (iii) a venting device, which opens on the underside of the electronic unit housing facing the base.

Housing for an electronic unit

A pushbutton device for actuating an electropneumatic parking brake (EPH) of a vehicle, which is connected to an evaluating electronic unit via connecting cables. In order to detect switching processes and/or faults, the input resistance of the pushbutton device between the connecting points is evaluated, thus allowing the evaluating electronic unit to reliably detect both the switched position of the pushbutton device and potential fault conditions.
