A plastic headrest sleeve receiving a headrest rod and comprising a tube fitted at its top end with a flange within which a slider is displaceably supported between a locked position, wherein it locks the headrest rod, and a release position, the wall of the said tube being fitted between its ends with at least one resilient clamping segment, a spring being mounted on the tube outside and biasing the resilient segment toward the tube inside, and a drive element displaceably resting on the tube, said drive element being operationally connected to the slider and the clamping segment in a manner that the spring's action on the clamping segment shall be reduced or eliminated when the slider is displaced into the release position.

Sleeve for a headrest

A sleeve for a neck rest with tolerance compensation, includes a sleeve body of plastic material for the accommodation of a rod of the neck rest. The sleeve body includes at least one integrally formed resilient portion which is biased toward or away from the interior of the sleeve body. A wire portion is attached to the sleeve body parallel to the axis of the sleeve body such that the wire portion can be resiliently deflected away from or towards the sleeve body, the wire portion engaging the resilient portion.

Sleeve for a neck rest with tolerance compensation

A sleeve arrangement for a neck rest, including a sleeve body adapted to be inserted into an opening in a frame of a vehicle seat, the sleeve body having a through going axial passage adapted to accommodate a rod of the neck rest, and the sleeve body having further a head portion which includes internal locking elements to fix the axial position of the rod in the sleeve body and a shank portion joining the head portion, the sleeve body having an external side which includes fixing elements the sleeve body in the opening of the frame, wherein in upper and lower end portions the passage has radially annular enlargements, and a preferably radially expandable sliding bushing of anti-frictional plastic material is accommodated by the enlargements which encircle the rod, and an elastomeric material is accommodated in the intermediate space between the sliding bushing and a wall of the passage.

Sleeve arrangement for a neck rest

A headrest guide sleeve for adjustably supporting a headrest pad is mounted in the back rest of a motor vehicle seat. The guide sleeve has a sleeve having a through bore for receiving the rod of the headrest, and a lever member rotatably fixed to an intermediate portion of the sleeve via a hinge mechanism. A biasing element is provided for biasing the lower end of the lever member toward the lower portion of the sleeve. The lever member includes a rib projecting into the through bore for engaging a notch formed on the rod. The upper end of the lever member is engaged with an actuating element. When the actuating element is actuated, the lever member is caused to rotate about the axis of the hinge mechanism against a biasing force of the biasing element thereby releasing the rib from the notch.
