A hearing device has a signal processor which has an adjustable parameter that has a given setting at a given time. The parameter is set depending on the situation by selecting a setting, depending on an environmental situation and by a learning machine. A current setting of the parameter can be rated by feedback from a user. In a first training procedure the learning machine is passively trained by negative feedback signals, by rating feedback from the user as dissatisfaction with the current setting and by assuming the user's satisfaction with the current setting as long as no feedback is given. In a second training procedure the learning machine is trained by changing the current setting independently of the feedback from the user and in spite of an assumed satisfaction with the current setting, so that the user is offered a different setting which can then be rated by feedback.

Method for operating a hearing device, and hearing device

A method operates a system of a hearing aid device and a communication device. The hearing aid device has an acousto-electrical transducer, a signal processing device and an electro-acoustic transducer. The communication device has a controller and an electro-acoustic transducer. The method includes the steps of: receiving of an incoming call by the communication device, signaling of the incoming call by the communication device by a first acoustic signal via the electro-acoustic transducer, receiving of the first acoustic signal by the acousto-electrical transducer of the hearing aid device, identifying of the first acoustic signal and carrying out of a first change of adjustment on the hearing aid device when the first acoustic signal has been identified.

Hearing aid device and method for operating the hearing aid device with a communication device

A method operates a hearing device system that contains a hearing device and a database system, which is separate from the hearing device and is set up for communication with the hearing device. The method includes ascertaining a piece of location information for a current position of the hearing device and the location information is transmitted to the database. The database then ascertains whether an electronic device that is separate from the hearing device is situated at a prescribed physical distance from the hearing device. The presence of the separate electronic device within the prescribed physical distance is taken as a basis by the database system for creating for the hearing device a parameter set that contains a number of parameters pertaining to the signal processing of audible signals in the hearing device. This parameter set is used by the hearing device for the purpose of signal processing.

Method for operating a hearing device system, hearing device system, hearing device and database system

A method and a device for analyzing hearing aid device settings of a first hearing aid device by a second hearing aid device. The first and the second hearing aid device each have an acousto-electric converter and an electro-acoustic converter. The method includes the step of acoustically coupling the electro-acoustic converter of the first hearing aid device to the acousto-electric converter of the second hearing aid device by a coupling device. In a further step, the acousto-electric converter of the first hearing aid device is exposed to an acoustic test signal. In one step, an acoustic output signal of the electro-acoustic converter of the first hearing aid device is detected by the acousto-electric converter of the second hearing aid device. In a further step, the detected acoustic output signal is analyzed.
