One aspect relates to a method of producing an electrode structure, including producing a longitudinal body having a core and at least one layer made of an electrode material surrounding the core. A part of the layer made of electrode material is removed while forming a plurality of electrodes that are arranged such as to be distributed in the longitudinal direction and which are separated from each other, and contact paths that extend in the longitudinal direction and adjoin the electrodes, each, as the same part. A layer made of a polymeric material is applied while embedding, at least in part, the electrodes and/or contact paths.

Electrode structure and method for producing

The invention relates to a process for production of an electrode structure, including: producing a longitudinal body having a core and at least one layer made of an electrode material surrounding the core; removing a part of the layer made of electrode material while forming a plurality of electrodes that are arranged such as to be distributed in the longitudinal direction and which are separated from each other, and contact paths that extend in the longitudinal direction and adjoin the electrodes, each, as the same part; applying a layer made of a polymeric material while embedding, at least in part, the electrodes and/or contact paths.

Method for producing an electrode structure

A stimulation electrode is provided having an electrically conducting electrode base member which is partially covered with an electrically insulating ceramic layer. The ceramic layer is formed of an oxide and/or an oxynitride of at least one metal of the group of titanium, niobium, tantalum, zirconium, aluminum and silicon. Various methods are provided for production of the stimulation electrode, including methods in which the ceramic layer is formed in situ by a thermal, chemical or electrochemical oxidation or oxynitridation process. The stimulation electrode may be used as a cardiac pacemaker electrode, a neuro-stimulation electrode, or another human implant.

Method for producing a stimulation electrode

A stimulation electrode is provided having an electrically conducting electrode base member which is partially covered with an electrically insulating ceramic layer. The ceramic layer is formed of an oxide and/or an oxynitride of at least one metal of the group of titanium, niobium. tantalum, zirconium, aluminum and silicon. Various methods are provided for production of the stimulation electrode, including methods in which the ceramic layer is formed in situ by a thermal, chemical or electrochemical oxidation or oxynitridation process. The stimulation electrode may be used as a cardiac pacemaker electrode, a neuro-stimulation electrode, or another human implant.

Stimulation electrode and methods of making and using same

A stimulation electrode has an electrode surface at least partially covered with a coating of titanium nitride, the titanium nitride having on its side remote from the electrode surface a larger surface than the region of the electrode surface covered by the titanium nitride. The titanium nitride is covered with at least one oxidation protection layer on its surface remote from the electrode surface. The stimulation electrode is useful, for example, in cardiac pacemakers, neuro-stimulation devices and other human implants.

Stimulation electrode and its use

A radially expandable support structure is presented, for keeping open lumina within a body, in particular a blood vessel, having a tube-shaped structure that has at least two partial structures, with a wall surface that extends between a first and a second end, which has several cut out areas, in particular, slits, which are essentially oriented parallel to the longitudinal axis of the tube-shaped structure. At least one of the partial structures ( ) extend without interruption in the axial direction generally from the first end to the second end of the tube-shaped structure. A first partial structure ( ) can be expanded at least in the radial direction and has at least one radial-expansion component.
