Described is a computer-implemented method for optimising a determining of measurement data of an object, where the measurement data is evaluated for geometrical characteristics of the object. The measurement data is determined by measuring the object using at least one recording parameter that includes at least one measurement geometry and/or at least one adjusting option for the measurement. The method includes the following steps: determining at least one measuring task for the object, wherein the measuring task is carried out by an evaluation method and it establishes the geometrical characteristics of the object; optimising the at least one recording parameter for the at least one measuring task for optimising the determining of measurement data; determining the measurement data for the object by measuring using the at least one optimised recording parameter; and carrying out the at least one measuring task for the object based on the determined measurement data.

The invention relates to a computer-implemented method for determining at least one geometric parameter required for an evaluation of measurement data, wherein the measurement data are determined by means of a radiographic measurement of a component having a component geometry, wherein a digital component representation is generated by the measurement data, wherein the method comprises the following steps: determining the measurement data by means of a radiographic measurement of a component; identifying regions one of in the digital component representation or in the component geometry as reference regions; determining at least one geometric parameter required for an evaluation of the determined measurement data, by means of the reference regions. Less computing power than in the prior art is required with the method. Furthermore, the method is able to be employed without great complexity.

Described is a computer-implemented method for monitoring the status of a device for investigating objects, wherein the investigation of an object involves determining measurement data by measuring the object and operating data of the device is determined during the investigation of the object. The aim of the invention is to determine the local quality of surface data (O) extracted from a volume data set (V) by means of a surface determination method. An environment in the volume data set (V) is determined for each surface point of the surface data (O). Using the curve of the grayscale values of voxels from said environment, at least one quality characteristic (Q) is derived which characterizes the quality of the respective examined surface point. The quality characteristic (Q) or each quality characteristic is output together with coordinates of the respective examined surface point as the method result (O').
