A system and a method for identifying a non-switching semiconductor switch are proposed. The system has a first acquisition component, a second acquisition component and a determination unit. The first acquisition component is designed to acquire a profile of an electrical variable of a first semiconductor switch driven by way of a first drive signal. The second acquisition component is designed to acquire a profile of an electrical variable of a second semiconductor switch driven by way of a second drive signal and connected in parallel with the first semiconductor switch. The determination unit is designed to use the profile of the electrical variable of the first semiconductor switch and the profile of the electrical variable of the second semiconductor switch as a basis for determining an output signal that allows identification of a non-switching semiconductor switch for the first semiconductor switch and/or the second semiconductor switch.

System and method for identifying non-switching semiconductor switches

A motor vehicle supply network, in particular a 48V on-board power supply of a motor vehicle, contains a current source, a power distributor connected to the current source via a supply current path, and at least one load connected to the power distributor via a load current path with an integrated semiconductor switch. A current-measuring unit, a voltage-measuring unit and a monitoring unit are integrated into the power distributor. The monitoring unit is configured in such a way that same detects an imminent fault based on the measurement data of the current-measuring unit and/or the measurement data of the voltage-measuring unit, and in such a way that same initiates a switching-off of the at least one load using the semiconductor switch. Both imminent over-current faults and imminent arc faults are detected as an imminent fault.

Motor vehicle supply system

A monitoring device for protecting against contact or access to a hybrid vehicle having a plurality of high-voltage components and an electronic control unit connected to a low-voltage vehicle electrical system battery. Power actuators for actuating at least one electric machine are connected to a high-voltage battery by way of a power switch. The high-voltage components are monitored by way of a looped circuit and deactivated if the looped circuit is broken. A sensor that is sensitive to magnetic field changes is disposed in or at a removable contact connection of the electric machine or the electronic control unit. The sensor is connected to the looped circuit. A control component of the electronic control unit activates a discharge unit for discharging an energy storage device upon receiving a sensor signal generated by the sensor when the contact connection is broken.

Method and a device for monitoring high-voltage connections of a hybrid vehicle

In order to make it possible to detect a fault location, safely, reliably and with a high response sensitivity, in a braided wire which has a plurality of individual wires, an electric current is passed through the braided wire and the magnetic field which is formed as a result of the braided wire through which current flows is detected by a sensor and is evaluated. A fault location is deduced if the measured magnetic field has an oscillation whose length is a multiple of a lay length of the braided wire, and in particular corresponds to the lay length. The method is also used in particular for non-destructive testing of the quality of a contact connection of a contact element to the braided wire.
