An actuating device for a motor vehicle, including a housing and a multi-part working piston movable in relation to the housing. The multi-part working piston has a main piston and an adjusting piston, which pistons are formed in a manner movable axially with respect to each other to compensate for wear. A clamping device clamps the main piston and the adjusting piston in relation to each other in order to fix an operative length of the working piston. The main piston and the adjusting piston are partial pistons of the working piston. A shielding element for protecting the actuating device from dirt is arranged on the housing and a partial piston or on a first partial piston and a second partial piston or on an adjusting piston and on the clamping device.

A clutch disk for a friction clutch includes a friction lining carrier and at least one friction lining element, which is connected to the friction lining carrier for rotation in common with it, and which can shift in the circumferential direction relative to this carrier against the pretensioning effect of a restoring arrangement. The disk also includes a friction device, which generates a frictional force acting in opposition to the displacement of the friction lining element relative to the friction lining carrier.

Clutch disk for a friction clutch

A friction clutch assembly has a clutch housing, at least one first friction plate, which is connected in a rotationally fixed manner to the clutch housing and can be displaced in axial direction therein, and a second friction plate, which bears the clutch housing. At least one driver disk is arranged axially adjacent to the first and second friction plates and has friction linings on both sides, which interact with the friction plates, and a spring which can apply a compressive force for actuation of the clutch to the at least one first friction plate. At least one of the friction plates is made at least in part from a metal matrix and at least one nonmetallic foreign phase included in the matrix, which together form a metal matrix composite material. In a further aspect of the invention, the clutch housing is likewise formed from a metal matrix composite material.

Friction clutch assembly

A friction clutch, particularly for a motor vehicle, has a rotatable clutch disk which is connected to a transmission input shaft so as to be fixed with respect to rotation relative to it and which can be clamped in axially between two clutch pressure plates. The pressure plates, which may be a clutch pressure plate and a flywheel, have annular friction surfaces which can act upon the clutch disk. The annular friction surfaces comprise the friction surfaces of a plurality of friction segments which are arranged in a uniformly distributed manner so as to form a ring, wherein every friction segment is arranged so as to be axially flexible in a springing manner to a certain extent.

Friction clutch

A crankshaft of an internal combustion engine, which is supported with freedom to rotate around an axis of rotation , can be connected by a first clutch to a flywheel , which is also supported with freedom to rotate around the axis of rotation . In addition, the flywheel can be connected by a second clutch to a transmission shaft , also supported with freedom to rotate around the axis of rotation . The flywheel is provided with at least one permanent magnet and thus forms the rotor of a crankshaft starter-generator. The pole fields of the permanent magnets can be moved past the stator coil of a stator of the crankshaft starter-generator, this coil being mounted on a stationary component. Each of the first and the second clutches has its own separately operated actuating means and can be engaged and disengaged either independently of each other or in common.

Clutch unit for a motor vehicle

A friction clutch comprising a flywheel having a rotational axis; a housing assembly which can be fixed to the flywheel for rotation in common about the rotational axis; a pressure plate mounted in the housing assembly so that it is free to move in the axial direction but is essentially unable to rotate relative to the housing; an energy storing device for loading the pressure plate toward the flywheel; a clutch disk assembly with an area located between the pressure plate and the flywheel, and an intermediate friction lining element assembly to transmit torque. The friction lining element assembly includes at least one friction lining element on the flywheel and/or at least one such element on the pressure plate.

A clutch disk has a hub area with a rotational axis, the hub area carrying a friction lining assembly radially outside of the hub area. A damper mass assembly can move circumferentially around the rotational axis relative to the hub area and the friction lining assembly against the action of an elastic support assembly.

Clutch disk

A clutch disk includes a hub area and a plurality of friction lining elements, which are supported on the hub area and arranged in sequence in the circumferential direction relative to a clutch disk rotational axis (A). These elements provide at least part of an associated friction surface area, where the friction lining elements are intended to make frictional contact with an associated opposing friction surface of a flywheel, a pressure plate, or the like. At least one friction lining element is supported so that the pressure exerted by its friction surface area against an opposing friction surface can change in response to a change in the sliding frictional interaction between its friction surface area and an opposing friction surface area which is or can be associated with it.

A clutch disk including a hub area and a plurality of friction lining elements carried on the hub area, which are arranged in sequence around the circumference relative to the clutch disk rotational axis, and provide at least part of the friction surface area, where the friction lining elements are designed to make frictional contact with the associated opposing friction surface of a flywheel, a pressure plate, or the like. At least one friction lining element is carried on the hub area with freedom to shift position essentially in the circumferential direction relative to the rotational axis.

A clutch disk includes a hub area and a plurality of friction lining elements arranged in sequence in the circumferential direction relative to a clutch disk rotational axis, each providing at least part of an associated friction surface area. The friction lining elements are intended to make frictional contact with the associated opposing friction surface of a flywheel, a pressure plate, or the like. At least one of the friction lining elements is supported on the hub area in such a way that it can move in the radial direction.

A clutch disk comprises a hub area designed for nonrotatable connection to a shaft and at least one friction lining element supported on a support area arranged radially outside the hub areas. A circumferential support surface for circumferential support of each friction lining element is provided on the support area at each circumferential end of each friction lining element.

The pressure plate has at least one friction surface region which can be pressed against a friction facing arrangement of a clutch disk or the like, wherein the pressure plate is formed at least partially from a first material, and wherein a second material having thermal contact with the first material is provided in the pressure plate at least in some areas. In order to be able to compensate for negative umbrella deformation of the pressure plate caused by friction heat during operation of the clutch, the second material has a different thermal expansion, particularly a greater thermal expansion, than the first material.
