A fluid injector system for use in administering to a patient a fluid in an injection protocol in connection with a diagnostic imaging procedure includes at least one display and a control device. The control device is programmed to determine, for each of the injection protocols performed by the fluid injector system, a component status for the at least one disposable component. The component status indicates whether use of the at least one disposable component was compliant with instructions for use applicable to the at least one disposable component. The control device is further programmed to enable the at least one display to display a compliance report. The compliance report includes one or more visual indicators providing visual feedback about compliance with the instructions for use based on the component status determined for each of the injection protocols performed using the fluid injector system.

Systems and methods for monitoring hygiene practices associated with powered contrast injections

A fluid management system adapted to automatically supply fluid for injection into a patient is disclosed. The fluid management system includes a fluid management device, a fluid transfer system and a fluid injector. The fluid management device serves to store and administrate multi-dose containers. The fluid transfer system connects an outlet of these containers to the injector which withdraws a fluid from the containers via the fluid transfer system and injects the fluid to an administration device at the patient. The fluid management device includes at least one rotating carousel having a vertical axis of rotation, at least two container holders attached to the rotating carousel and adapted to position the container vertically with a septum covered end facing downwards, and a spike holder mounted below the rotating carousel and oriented so the spike holder axially aligns a spike connected to the spike holder with the axis of the container.

The present disclosure relates to a pump injector containing a processor, a pump or a motor with advance for a piston which is suitable for driving liquid out of a container or a cartridge, a data storage device, and a device for data transfer, wherein the processor is electronically connected to the data storage device, to a control unit for the pump or motor, and to the device for data transfer. The injector is suitable for being connected to a container or a cartridge for fluid transfer, which contains a multiplicity of doses of a parenteral solution and has an additional data storage device fixedly connected thereto. The device for data transfer is suitable for reading out information from the additional data storage device on the container including at least one specification in respect to the identity of the product stored in the container or in the cartridge is stored in the container, a maximum dose per patient, and a maximum usage period after opening the container.
