An apparatus for disinfecting a hydraulic circuit of a device for processing liquids for dialysis is provided. The apparatus includes at least one valve arrangement; at least one source for disinfectant; at least one first line which is connected or connectable to the source for disinfectant and to the hydraulic circuit; and at least one second line which branches off from the first line and is connected to environmental air or to an air reservoir. The valve arrangement has at least one first valve and at least one second valve which are located in the first line in front of and behind the point of the branching off of the second line from the first line. Furthermore, the valve arrangement has at least one third valve which is located in the second line, with the first and second lines being arranged such that, with opened first and third valves, the second line and the first line are ventilated between the second valve and the source so that the disinfectant contained therein runs off toward the source.

In all embodiments, at least two different concentrates can be included separately in powder form, liquid form or semi-liquid slurry form for dissolution in a fluid in the multi-chamber bag. In addition, the use of the multi-chamber bag in haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis or a haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis device, in particular as a container for a dialysis fluid in a haemodialysis or peritoneal dialysis device, is described.

The present invention relates to a device and method for conveying fluids into the treatment unit of a medical treatment apparatus. The device and method according to the present invention are based on the fact that the fluid with which the treatment unit is supplied, circulates in a fluid circuit including the treatment unit. To balance fresh and used fluid fed to the treatment unit or conveyed from the treatment unit, a balancing unit with a balancing chamber is used, which can be incorporated into the fluid circuit including the treatment unit. It is thus possible to supply the fluid circuit continuously with fresh fluid or to carry away used fluid continuously from the fluid circuit. The supply and discharge of fresh and used fluid can take place at a different flow rate from the flow rate at which the fluid circulates in the fluid circuit via the treatment unit.

A medical treatment apparatus, and in particular an extra-corporeal blood treatment apparatus, has a socket unit for the connection of a plug unit belonging to a device for supplying a medical fluid for the medical treatment apparatus. A filling apparatus for filling a device for supplying a medical fluid has a socket unit for the connection of a plug unit of the device for supplying a medical fluid. The device has a plug unit having means for indicating two states of operation, while the socket unit of the treatment apparatus has means for destroying the means for indicating two states of operation. When the plug unit is connected to the socket unit, the means for indicating two states of operation are destroyed, to rule out the possibility of the device being re-used. Re-use of the device is ruled out by the fact that the device cannot be re-filled with fluid.

The invention relates to a disposable element for a medical treatment device, especially a hemodialysis device. The inventive disposable element comprises a film bag filled with the dialysis liquid that consists of two superimposed flat films or a tubular film with connections for supplying and discharging the liquid. The film bag or the tubular film, in the condition ready for usage, is closed with a first weld on the top end and with a second weld on the lower end and is folded several times parallel to the longitudinal axis that is vertical in the condition ready for usage. The film bag is inserted in a receiving unit that is configured as a shaping dish that has a middle cylindrical section followed by an upper or lower convex section. The inventive disposable element, when combined with the receiving unit, unfolds more easily when being filled and has a lesser tendency to form creases.

After placing of two concentrate holders into associated recipients, both concentrate holders are connected using a single connector having two connection states. In a first connection state, solvent flows to the first concentrate holder, with the solution being led into a collection holder and, after the flushing of the concentrate from the first concentrate holder, the connector moves to a second connection state in which an automatic connecting of the second concentrate holder takes place, whereupon solvent flows through the second concentrate holder and the solution is likewise supplied to the collection holder.
