The invention relates to an apparatus for winding and unwinding rolled strip (WB) discharging from a mill train (WS), in which apparatus the rolled strip (WB) discharging from the mill train (WS) is introduced by a set of bending rolls (BR) into a winding chamber (WK) having a rotationally driven roller pair (RP) and is wound into a coil (WB), and the coil is then put onto a roller table (GR) and unwound from these rollers with the direction of rotation being reversed and the start of the strip is fed to a driver device (RT). The apparatus is improved by a supporting slide (TS) which can be pushed into the winding chamber (WK) and in whose side walls a pivoted lever (SH) is mounted, the free end of which carries a pressure roller (AR) which can be put onto the rolled strip coil and pushes the latter out of the winding chamber (WK) onto the adjoining roller table (GR).

Apparatus for winding and unwinding rolled strip

The invention relates to a method for expanding the use of a coiling and uncoiling station (coilbox) located between the roughing train and the finishing train for rolled strip material in hot-rolling mills. The use of said coilbox is expanded by impinging the coil that is to be uncoiled with a pressing force (F) which acts in the direction of the roller table () and/or placing the coil in a depression of the roller table in order to process smaller coil weights in a spikeless coilbox, and/or by combining, in a chronological and weight-related manner, the active transfer and passive transfer of a coil from a first coiling station to a second coiling station in order to increase the throughput especially at average coil weights in a spikeless coilbox, and/or by supplying heat to the strip upstream or downstream of the spikeless coilbox and/or thermally insulating the strip or the coilbox in order to variably increase and homogenize the strip temperature. The invention further relates to a correspondingly equipped device for carrying out said method.

Coil box between roughing train and finishing train in a rolling mill

The invention relates to a coil box, which is mounted between a roughing rolling train and a finishing rolling train, for metal pre-strips, in particular steel strips, which are hot wound to form coils and are protected against further cooling in the vicinity of a winding and/or unwinding station () by means of heat-shield devices () on the front faces () of the coils. The aim of the invention is to universally configure said coil box. To achieve this, the heat-shield devices () are configured from lateral walls () that can be pivoted to rest against the front faces () of the coils and a pair of opposing heat-shield devices () can be aligned in parallel to different coil widths ().
