A method includes receiving, from a subscriber device, a request including virtual region characteristics and an occupancy threshold, and determining, using image data captured by a camera and the virtual region characteristics, a virtual region corresponding to a portion of a physical region within a field of view of the camera. The virtual region is smaller than the physical region. The method also includes determining, using the image data, an occupancy of the virtual region and determining that the occupancy of the virtual region satisfies the occupancy threshold. In response to determining that the occupancy of the virtual region satisfies the occupancy threshold, the method also includes generating a notification to the subscriber device.

Trigger regions

Lifting robot systems and methods for operating the same are disclosed. A lifting robot system includes a sensor device and a robot device. The robot device includes a body, a lifting component movably coupled to the body, and a collection tray coupled to the lifting component. Upon receiving a command to lift an object, the sensor device automatically detects the object, the robot device places the object on the collection tray, and the robot device causes the lifting component to lift the collection tray from a first height to a second height.

A computing device configured to display a virtual representation of an environment of a robot includes a display device, a memory, and a processor coupled to the memory. The processor is configured to receive data from the one or more sensors of the robot with respect to an object within an environment of the robot. The processor is also configured to display a virtual representation of the object within a virtual mapping of the environment based on the data received from the one or more sensors. The processor is further configured to receive input data selecting the virtual representation of the object. The processor is also further configured to send instructions to the robot to act in response to the received input data.

An editable search refinement specification can be displayed with search results for a search query. The search refinement specification can include terms of the search query and any modifiers to the query, such as categories, filters, and other refinements. A user can edit portions of the search refinement specification inline, with other portions of the specification being retained, in order to adjust the search. Using such an approach, a user can adjust a search query without losing any context or refinement from a previous search that the user would like to use for the subsequent search. Various options can be provided with the search refinement specification, such as to edit any portion, delete one or more portions, suggest refinements, go to other specifications, and the like. The search refinement specifications also can be saved for use at a later time.

Example implementations may relate to methods and systems for detecting an event in a physical region within a physical space. Accordingly, a computing system may receive from a subscriber device an indication of a virtual region within a virtual representation of the physical space such that the virtual region corresponds to the physical region. The system may also receive from the subscriber a trigger condition associated with the virtual region, where the trigger condition corresponds to a particular physical change in the physical region. The system may also receive sensor data from sensors in the physical space and a portion of the sensor data may be associated with the physical region. Based on the sensor data, the system may detect an event in the physical region that satisfies the trigger condition and may responsively provide to the subscriber a notification that indicates that the trigger condition has been satisfied.

A method for controlling traffic by a traffic control system includes transmitting, to a first traffic control vehicle, a first message requesting the first traffic control vehicle to autonomously navigate to a location corresponding to a traffic incident. The method also includes monitoring a location of the first traffic control vehicle based on receiving location information from the first traffic control vehicle. The method also includes transmitting, to the first traffic control vehicle, first information to be displayed via a first notification device integrated with the first traffic control vehicle based on the location information corresponding to the location of the traffic incident. The method still further includes transmitting, to the first traffic control vehicle after a period of time, a request to navigate away from the location of the traffic incident.

A ramp structure for a mobile platform includes at least one ramp member structured to be operably coupled to the mobile platform. The at least one ramp member is structured to be deflectable toward a ground surface so as to form a ramp responsive to contact with a subject vehicle wheel when the ramp member is operably coupled to the mobile platform and the mobile platform resides on the ground surface. The ramp extends in a direction from the ground surface toward a top surface of the mobile platform.

Vehicles and methods for utilizing a vehicle sensor network are provided. A subject vehicle may include a communication component configured to establish a connection with a connectable vehicle when a distance to the connectable vehicle falls below a threshold. The communication component may be further configured to receive a detection alert from the connectable vehicle detecting that an event is or will be occurring. The subject vehicle may further include an operational component configured to modify operation of the subject vehicle based on the detection alert.

A mobile platform includes a base having a first surface and at least one drive wheel coupled to the base so as to movable with respect to the base first surface. A drive wheel retention mechanism is coupled to the at least one drive wheel and is structured to retain the at least one drive wheel in a first position in which the at least one drive wheel extends to a first distance from the first surface along a first side of the first surface. A plurality of roller elements is also coupled to the base and is structured to extend to a distance from the first surface along the first side of the first surface. The distance of the plurality of roller elements from the first surface is less than the first distance of the at least one drive wheel from the first surface.

A mobile platform is provided for a guided soft target. The mobile platform includes a platform base, and a drive unit that is configured to move the platform base along a ground surface. A projector assembly is provided, configured for projecting light patterns for visual display on an exterior of the guided soft target. The projector assembly may include a hardened housing defining at least one opening for projecting the light patterns. In certain aspects, the projector assembly is coupled to an outer surface of the platform base. In other aspects, the projector assembly may be built into, or is retractable into, an interior the platform base. The projector assembly may include a control module that is configured to be remotely controllable.

A bumper for a mobile platform of a guided test platform includes a first end, a second end residing opposite the first end, a first surface extending between the first and second ends, and a second surface extending between the first and second ends and residing opposite the first surface. The bumper defines a ramp structure extending between the bumper first end and the bumper second end. The ramp structure is structured to guide a wheel of a vehicle in a direction away from the first surface as the wheel moves along the second surface in a direction from the bumper first end toward the bumper second end.

A method for controlling traffic via a traffic control vehicle is provided. The method includes navigating to a location corresponding to a traffic incident. The method also includes providing a notification to other vehicles at the location to mitigate the traffic condition. The method further includes navigating away from the location after a period of time.

A robotic device that includes a housing defined by a proximal end and a distal end, the housing including a top planar surface, a bottom planar surface, and a sidewall extending between the top planar surface and the bottom planar surface. The housing further includes an angled surface extending distally from the proximal end between the bottom planar surface and the top planar surface such that the angled surface forms a wedged nose at the proximal end along the bottom planar surface.
