A spinal construct comprising a first portion. A second portion defines a longitudinal axis and is configured to penetrate tissue. A tether is fastened with the first portion such that a spinal implant connected with the tether is movable to a plurality of orientations relative to the longitudinal axis. Systems and methods are disclosed.

Spinal construct and methods of use

Apparatus and methods include an elongate connecting element including a body extending along a longitudinal axis between a first end and an opposite second end. The connecting element includes a first end portion at its first end and a second end portion at its second end. The connecting element includes a length between the first and second ends sized to extend between and be engaged to first and second anchors engageable to bony portions of the spinal column. The first and second end portions are positioned on opposite sides of the first and second anchors and project outwardly from the body of the connecting element to capture the first and second anchors between the first and second end portions.

Elongated connecting elements for minimally invasive surgical procedures

A set screw for use in association with spinal implant assemblies. The set screw includes a threaded base portion extending along a longitudinal axis and formed of a first material, and a friction member extending from a distal end of the threaded base portion and formed of a second material different from the first material. In one embodiment, the spinal implant assembly includes a connector member having a passage and an opening in communication with the passage, and an elongate support member positioned within the passage of the connector member. The set screw is threadedly engaged to the connector member and at least partially positioned within the opening, with a distal end portion of the friction member extending into the passage and compressed against an outer surface of the elongate support member to inhibit movement of the elongate support member within the passage.

Friction set screw for use with spinal implant systems

A connector for connecting together elongated members in a side-by-side arrangement. The connector includes a first receptacle for connecting to the first elongated member, and a second receptacle for connecting to the second elongated member. The angular position of the second receptacle may be adjustable relative to the first receptacle to accommodate the elongated members. Further, the connector may be configured to extend between the elongated members and the patient when the connector is implanted in a patient.
