An everting balloon system is disclosed that can be used for the placement of an IUD within the uterine cavity of a female patient. The everting balloon system with IUD can be used to access a uterine cavity at specific locations in the fundus. A one-handed IUD delivery system for placement with an everting catheter is disclosed. An IUD loading system for placement within an everting catheter is disclosed. The everting catheter with an IUD can simplify the process of IUD placement within the uterine cavity.

Apparatus and method for everting catheter for IUD delivery and placement in the uterine cavity

Delivery systems for providing occlusive hydrogels in a tube lumen or void space within the body including but not limited to a reproductive tract such as the vas deferens or fallopian tubes for contraception are described. The delivery systems contain mechanisms that confirm proper placement of the system in the bodily lumen prior to the delivery of the occlusive material. The systems also can contain a confirmatory mechanism that demonstrates the blockage or occlusion in the bodily lumen has been achieved following the deposition of the occlusive material. Another aspect of this application is to provide a removal system that delivers dissolving material, agitates, aspirates, and confirms the patency of the bodily lumen following the removal of the occlusive material if so desired by the patient for the return to fertility.

Apparatus and method for delivery and/or removal of occlusions in the body

Kidney stone removal system is disclosed having components including a handle mechanism, a nozzle tip, and a guiding device. The handle mechanism employs a trigger that enables control of irrigation and vacuum/suction. Depression of a trigger in the trigger mechanism conveys status of vacuum/suction and irrigation to a user by providing increased resistance at different points of depression. When the trigger is in a home (undepressed) position, irrigation and vacuum/suction are turned off. When the trigger is in a fully depressed position, irrigation and vacuum/suction are turned on. When the trigger is in an intermediate position, irrigation may be turned on, while vacuum/suction remains turned off. The nozzle includes one or more irrigation ports positioned at a distal end of the nozzle and having an irrigation port departure angle of 30 to 60 degrees for directing irrigation fluid forward and laterally from the distal end of the nozzle. The guiding device is configured to be removably positioned in the nozzle for receiving a debris fragmentizing device, such as a laser device. The guiding device is configured to prevent an unintended movement of the fragmentizing device when the fragmentizing device is positioned in the nozzle while allowing fluid and debris to flow past the fragmentizing device and through a vacuum tube.

Disclosed herein are systems, devices, and methods for the removal of objects from the body. The device may be a urethral catheter configured to aspirate kidney stones from the urinary tract through one or more aspiration ports at the distal face or along a lateral side of the catheter. The catheter may include one or more irrigation ports at the distal face or along the lateral side of the catheter for dislodging kidney stones. The device may be steerable. The spatial arrangement of the one or more irrigation ports with respect to the one or more aspiration ports may vary. The device may include an irrigation tube and/or a shield member configured to spatially confine the kidney stones adjacent the catheter. Various temporal patterns of aspiration and irrigation are disclosed for optimizing removal of kidney stones.

The everting balloon system can be used to access a bodily cavity or vessel for tissue specimen collection at specific bodily locations. The everting catheter system described simplifies the process of tissue biopsy.

A delivery system for delivering a plurality of helical tissue anchors to repair a wall defect. Coaxially contained within the outer sheath are inner tubular members. The first inner tubular member designed to deploy a first helical tissue anchor, a second inner tubular member designed to deploy a second helical tissue anchor, and a centered inner tubular member contains a cinching mechanism. The two helical tissue anchors are connected to a suture or strap that pull the two helical tissue anchors together to close a tissue defect. A cinching mechanism holds the anchors and tissue defect together and cut the suture or strap.
