This disclosure relates to planning systems, methods and instrumentation. The planning systems, methods and instrumentation disclosed herein may be utilized for planning orthopaedic procedures to restore functionality to a joint, may include determining an amount of bone loss along or otherwise adjacent to an articular surface of a bone. Instrumentation may be formed based on one or more dimensions associated with the bone loss. The articular surface may be repaired, which may include utilizing the instrumentation and planning systems to position and secure a bone graft along a position of the bone associated with the bone loss.

Orthopaedic planning systems, instrumentation and methods of repair

Shoulder support systems and methods for treatment of the shoulder, where the ability to maintain some level of arm rotation and abduction is desired to promote positive health outcomes and ability to perform activities of daily living. Systems may comprise a vest and at least one support strap. The vest may be configured to cover an upper portion of a torso, shoulders, and at least a portion of upper arms. Pairs of sagitally mirrored anchor points may be positioned on the body and sleeves of the vest. Support straps may be attached to the anchor points. A path of the support straps may transverse the sagittal plane and spiral around an arm. Inelastic or strongly elastic cables may run a length of the support straps. Tensioning mechanisms may adjust the length of the cables to achieve the desired resistive forces for the support straps.

This disclosure details surgical instrumentation and related techniques for performing bone reconstruction surgeries. The surgical instrumentation may be used to size and shape a graft, such as an allograft. The appropriately sized and shaped graft is subsequently used to reconstruct damaged bone. A surgical instrumentation set is used to prepare the graft. The surgical instrumentation set includes a graft workstation, a plurality of sizing blocks and a plurality of cutting blocks.

Cannula assemblies and methods of conducting surgeries. The cannula assembly comprises a cannula that is sized for the common 4 mm arthroscopy switching stick, which is put in a one-step fashion with the use of a unique switching stick inserter. All steps for placement of the cannula are performed in a single forward motion, i.e., no backing up of components are necessary for placement. The method of conducting surgery includes the steps of: providing a cannula/switching stick assembly comprising a cannula sized to accommodate a corresponding switching stick, and a switching stick inserter (modular handle) designed to fit on the switching stick, and to help insert and control the switching stick; and inserting the cannula/switching stick assembly through an arthroscopic portal during a surgical procedure, in a single forward motion.

A technique for joint repair employing a suture/button construct and an applicator designed to securely engage a button of the suture/button construct. The button of the suture/button construct securely engages two shafts of the applicator (i.e., an angled, non-vertical flat face of the outer shaft and a threaded region of the inner shaft). Engagement to and disengagement from the applicator is conducted without rotation of the button. The applicator with the secured button is introduced into the tissue (for example, soft tissue or a bone tunnel) and the button is passed through the tissue.
