An electric vehicle includes a pair of opposed longitudinal outer rails, a plurality of cross beams, a pair of opposed longitudinal inner rails, a housing and a plurality of bushings. The cross beams extend in a transverse direction of the electric vehicle and include first and second cross beams secured to the pair of opposed longitudinal outer rails. The pair of opposed longitudinal inner rails are located inboard of the pair of opposed longitudinal outer rails and between the first and second cross beams. The pair of opposed longitudinal inner rails are secured to the first and second cross beams to form a box. The housing is connected to the box and is configured to be connected to the motor. The bushings are at least partially supported by the housing.

A cast structure configured to support a suspension arm and motor mount assembly for a vehicle is disclosed. The cast structure comprises a first fixing point attachable to a first mounting feature of a first crossmember of a vehicle frame, a first feature configured to receive the suspension arm of the vehicle in an assembled configuration, and a first portion configured to support a motor of the vehicle in an assembled configuration.

Methods and systems are provided for a powertrain support mount assembly. In one example, the powertrain support mount assembly comprises a first bracket and a second bracket, the second bracket comprising an engagement feature shaped to engage with the first bracket during a vehicle collision, which adjusts a load of the second bracket to decouple from the engage and avoid contacting an auxiliary component adjacent to the powertrain.

A motor vehicle body structure includes a frame rail and a bracket attached to the rail and adapted for attaching an engine mount. The bracket has a first portion secured to the frame rail beneath the engine mount and at least one cantilever portion projecting at one end beyond the first portion. The cantilever portion defines an anchoring point for attachment of the engine mount that is spaced from the frame rail so that the portion of the frame rail beneath the anchoring point may undergo controlled deformation in the event of a front end vehicle collision.

A roll restrictor for restraining movement of a vehicle powertrain relative to a vehicle sub-frame. The roll restrictor has a bracket for coupling to the sub-frame in the form of a generally U-shaped housing defining a central cavity. A link arm for coupling to the powertrain has a first end positioned within the cavity and extends through an opening in the bracket. A plurality of resilient elements are disposed within the cavity between the housing and the first end of the link arm to resist movement of the first end relative to the bracket.
