The server system performs the following steps: providing mobile content in a database; collecting user data associated with the user; receiving a request from one of the user devices, the request being generated by scanning one of the machine-readable codes with the user device; determining the user data associated with the user who scanned the machine-readable code; selecting, based upon the user data, customized mobile content from the mobile content in the database; and providing the customized mobile content to the user device.
