An apparatus for loading and deploying cargo from a motor vehicle includes a liftgate, a liftgate drive module to displace the liftgate between a closed position and an opened position, a cargo receiver carried on the liftgate and an actuator to raise and lower cargo with respect to the cargo receiver. Related methods of deploying cargo and loading cargo are also provided.

Apparatus and method for loading and deploying cargo from a motor vehicle

A method includes flowing a magnetic and non-magnetic particle-containing liquid across a rotor that has alternating pole electromagnets, energizing the electromagnets and rotating the rotor to generate a changing magnetic field to generate eddy currents in the non-magnetic particles, repelling the non-magnetic particles to a collection point by the changing magnetic field, directing the magnetic particles from the electromagnets to the collection point, and removing the magnetic and non-magnetic particles from the collection point.

Particle separation system

A particle separator including a rotor disposed inside a housing. The rotor has a plurality of magnetic sections that are arranged with alternating poles. A drive rotates the rotor to generate a changing magnetic field. Magnetic particles and non-magnetic conductive particles are removed from a liquid that flows through the particle separator. The magnetic particles attach to the rotor and the non-magnetic conductive particles are repelled away from the rotor by the changing magnetic field.

A conditioner composition for a printing plate with metallic non-print areas on the printing surface contains a polymeric or oligomeric component. The polymeric component adheres to the metal (particularly, aluminum) surface of the non-print area(s) of the printing member, and has a hydrophilic portion. The conditioned printing plate is particularly useful for printing single fluid inks having an emulsified hydrophilic fluid phase.
