Aspects of the present disclosure are directed to a medical implant introducer () and methods of its use. The introducer () may include a handle (), an implant-holding cavity disposed distally from the handle (), a fluid supply conduit () fluidly coupled to an interior portion of the implant-holding cavity, and a distal nozzle () having a proximal portion, a distal portion, a middle portion in between the proximal portion and the distal portion, the middle portion having a tapered profile such that the proximal portion is larger than the distal portion, and a distal opening (), wherein an implant in the implant-holding cavity may be expelled from the introducer () through the distal opening ().

Introducer devices and methods of use thereof

A medical device may include a shaft extending between a proximal end and a distal end. The shaft may include a lumen therein. The medical device may include a handle coupled to the proximal end of the shaft and may include a mode selector. The mode selector may be adapted to transition between a first mode and a second mode of the medical device. The medical device may further include a compressed fluid source. In the first mode, the compressed fluid source may be fluidly coupled with the shaft so as to impart a negative pressure in at least a portion of the lumen. In the second mode, the compressed fluid source may be fluidly coupled with the shaft so as to impart a positive pressure in the at least a portion of the lumen.

The reamer including a shaft with a first and second end, a cutting member coupled to the second end of the shaft, and a groove near the second end of the shaft. Implant devices and cutting clamp apparatuses and methods for creating the implants for insertion into a patient's joint to restore anatomic length and assist in final positioning of the bones following removal of cartilage and/or bone in preparation for fusion. A first implant is a biplanar implant having a shape to mimic the normal anatomical shape of the bones the implant is configured to mate with. The first implant may be cut using a cutting clamp and jig having the anatomical shape of the bones the implant will be inserted within or between. A second implant is a cylindrical piece of bone having a convex end and a concave end for mating with bones reamed to have the opposite mating surfaces.
