A pharmacy bottle system includes a bottle and a ring. The bottle is formed as a single piece of molded plastic material and includes a body and a neck. The body defines an interior cavity. The interior cavity extends from a first end to a second end of the interior cavity. The body includes a spine portion covering the first end of the interior cavity. The spine portion defines a spine width measured from a front to a back of spine portion. The neck extends from the second end of the interior cavity and has an opening therethrough providing access to the interior cavity. The ring is secured about the neck of the bottle. The ring defines a ring width measured between a front and a back of the ring. The ring width is larger than the spine width. The neck extends above a top surface of the ring.

Pharmacy bottle system and method

A packaging system includes a bottle, a ring, and a cap. The bottle defines a first end, a second end, and a cavity. The first end defines a neck having an opening providing access to the cavity. The ring is secured about the neck of the bottle, is spaced from the opening, and defines an exterior ring width measured between a front and a back of the ring. The cap is removably secured about the neck of the bottle. The cap defines an exterior cap width measured between a front and a back of the cap. The exterior cap width is substantially equal to the exterior ring width such when the cap is positioned adjacent the ring, the front of the ring and the front of the cap generally align and the back of the ring and the back of the cap generally align.

A bottle includes a container and a label. The container includes a front portion, a back portion, an opening and a spine portion. The back portion is spaced from the front portion and generally faces away and in an opposite direction from the front portion. The opening is positioned between the front portion and the back portion of the container to at least partially define a first end of the container. The spine portion extends between the front portion and the back portion of the container to define a second end of the container opposite the first end. The label extends over and is in contact with each of the front portion, the back portion and the spine portion of the container. A label for a prescription pharmacy bottle comprises a first portion adapted for securing to a front portion of a bottle, a second portion adapted for securing to back portion of a bottle, and a printed information on the label relating to a medication. The printed information includes a first type of information, a second type of information, and a third type of information. The first type of information includes prescription-related information including, but not limited to, a drug identifier and a patient identifier. The second type of information includes at least one of a drug identifier and a patient identifier. The third type of information includes warning information. The first type of information is always positioned in the first portion of the label and the third type of information is always positioned on the second portion of the label, and the first type of information is printed at a 180 degree opposite orientation of the second type and third type of information.

A prescription pharmacy bottle comprises a container and a label. The container includes a generally planar front portion having a generally rectangular shape and a generally planar back portion spaced from the front portion. The back portion has a generally rectangular shape and generally faces away in an opposite direction from the front portion. The label is secured to the container bearing printed matter related to a medication and includes a front portion secured on the front portion of the container and a back portion secured on the back portion of the container.

A prescription pharmacy bottle comprises a container including a generally planar front portion having a generally rectangular shape and a generally planar back portion spaced from the front portion. The back portion has a generally rectangular shape and generally faces away in an opposite direction from the front portion. The container also comprises a pair of side portions opposite to and spaced from each other, with each side portion extending between the front portion of the container and the back portion of the container. Each side portion comprises at least one of a generally rectangular shape and a generally trapezoidal shape. The front portion and the back portion are configured for adhesive placement of a medication-related label on the front portion and the back portion of the container.
