An embodiment of the invention is directed to a computer implemented business method in an electronic system in which payment information is exchanged between a buyer and a seller. Approval is received from the buyer of an electronic invoice received by the buyer. At a time when no agreed upon discount is available based on the invoice or pre-agreed terms between the buyer and the seller, a request is received from the buyer to offer the seller early payment in exchange for a discount of the amount owed. The discount is based on an annual hurdle rate provided to the system by the buyer. The offer is presented to the seller on the seller's user interface, and a clickable button is provided for the seller to indicate selection of such offer. In another embodiment of the invention, in an electronic system in which payment information is exchanged between buyers and at least a seller, an identification of a date upon which a seller would like to receive early payment is received through a computer input associated with the seller. Another embodiment of the invention is directed to a relationship between a buyer and a seller where there is a standard discount term, and there is also a discount term in a respective invoice. Another embodiment of the invention is directed to a method related to enrollment of a new seller in the system.

The present invention is a system and computer-implemented method for automatically enrolling and upgrading a buyer into a pre-existing network in order to conduct business with one or more sellers with minimum efforts and consistent quality. The method includes providing to the buyer, via a programmable computer, multiple business models for selection. The method also includes retrieving and sending to the buyer a set of pre-configured business processes to select based on the model chosen by the buyer. The method further includes generating required test cases to validate the selected best business process and tracking and certifying the test cases followed by deploying a live version of the selected best business process.

A digital signature of the agent is created using a private key associated with the agent is added to the instructions. The agent is associated with a first entity. The instructions are transmitted to a second system. The second system in the instructions are verified using a public key corresponding to a private key associated with the agent. A set of financial instructions is created electronically and digital signatures created using a second private key are added to the financial instruments. The financial instruments from among the set of financial instruments are sent to respective recipients according to the instruments. According to one embodiment of the invention, the financial instruments are encrypted using public keys of respective recipients. According to another embodiment of the invention, terms are presented to the system administrator indicating that the entity shall be responsible for transactions effected by the agent before authorization is provided to the agent to effect creation of the checks with the digital signatures using the private key of the entity.
