The present application and the resultant patent provide a turbine bucket for a gas turbine engine. The turbine bucket may include an airfoil, a tip shroud positioned radially outward from the airfoil, and a seal rail positioned radially outward from the tip shroud and extending in a generally tangential direction from a first end to a second end of the tip shroud. The seal rail may include a maximum axial thickness at a location positioned between the first end and the second end and offset from the airfoil in the generally tangential direction. The present application and the resultant patent further provide a gas turbine engine and a method for balancing a tip shroud of a turbine bucket of a gas turbine engine.

A damper system for the buckets of a gas turbine engine. The damper system may include damper pins having a generally rounded top portion and a generally flat bottom portion along substantially the entire length thereof. The generally flat bottom portion may allow addition or removal of material to or from the pin in order to achieve an optimal dynamic weight ratio.

A turbine bucket includes an airfoil portion; a platform at radially inner end of the airfoil portion; a shank portion extending radially-inwardly of the platform; and a mounting portion extending radially-inwardly of the shank portion. The shank portion and the mounting portion have at least one axially-extending seal-engaging surface formed as part of a separable, non-integral isolation element that isolates the bucket from forces caused by a near-flow-path seal engaging the at least one axially-extending seal-engaging surface.

A seal for a turbine engine is provided that includes a seal body disposed at a base of a turbine engine blade and a wing portion extending axially from the seal body. The wing portion has a first portion substantially parallel with a centerline of the engine and an angled upturn portion. The first portion extends between the seal body and the angled upturn portion. An angle between the engine centerline and the angled upturn portion is between about 0 degrees and about 90 degrees.

A turbine bucket is provided and includes a shank interconnectable with a rotor and formed to accommodate coolant therein and an airfoil blade coupled to a radially outward portion of the shank and including a body formed to define a substantially radially extending cooling hole therein, which is disposed to be solely receptive of the coolant accommodated within the shank for removing heat from the body, the cooling hole being further defined as having a substantially non-circular cross-sectional shape at a predefined radial position of the body.

The present application provides a turbine bucket including an airfoil shape. The airfoil shape may have a nominal profile substantially in accordance with Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y and Z set forth in Table 1. The Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y and Z are non-dimensional values from 0% to 100% convertible to dimensional distances in inches by multiplying the Cartesian coordinate values of X, Y and Z by a height of the airfoil in inches. The X and Y values are distances in inches which, when connected by smooth continuing arcs, define airfoil profile sections at each distance Z. The airfoil profile sections at Z distances may be joined smoothly with one another to form a complete airfoil shape.

Disclosed is a rotor assembly for a turbomachine includes a disk having a first axial face and a second axial face. The disk includes at least one circumferential dovetail extending around an outer surface of the disk and a plurality of axial dovetails extending from the first axial face to the second axial face. Each blade of a plurality of blades is installed into an axial dovetail of the plurality of axial dovetails and each platform of a plurality of platforms is installed adjacent to a blade of the plurality of blades via the at least one circumferential dovetail. Further disclosed is a method of assembly of a rotor for a turbomachine.

A tip shroud that includes a plurality of damping fins, each damping fin including a substantially non-radially-aligned surface that is configured to make contact with a tip shroud of a neighboring rotor blade. At least one damping fin may include a leading edge damping fin and at least one damping fin may include a trailing edge damping fin. The leading edge damping fin may be configured to correspond to the trailing edge damping fin.
