Example implementations relate to a chassis cooling resource. In some examples, a chassis cooling resource includes a controller, comprising instructions to detect a failure corresponding to a first cooling system of a first chassis coupled to a server rack, and alter settings of a second cooling system of a second chassis coupled the server rack to provide additional cooling resources to the first cooling system in response to the detected failure.

In exemplary aspects of optimizing data centers, historical data corresponding to a data center is collected. The data center includes a plurality of systems. A data center representation is generated. The data center representation can be one or more of a schematic and a collection of data from among the historical data. The data center representation is encoded into a neural network model. The neural network model is trained using at least a portion of the historical data. The trained model is deployed using a first set of inputs, causing the model to generate one or more output values for managing or optimizing the data center with respect to design and risk aspects.

In exemplary aspects of optimizing data centers, historical data corresponding to a data center is collected. The data center includes a plurality of systems. In some examples, a system may include a plurality of cooling distribution units (CDUs) to control cooling of a plurality of computing devices based in part on average differential pressure between a supply and return for each of the plurality of CDUs, temperature of coolant in a loop flowing between each of the plurality of CDUs and computing devices, and facility valve position for each of the plurality of CDUs, wherein one CDU of the plurality of the CDUs is nominated lead CDU and broadcasts flow rate to the plurality of CDUs to follow.

A leak mitigation system for a cooling system may include an isolation valve, a controller, and a computer-readable medium. The isolation valve may selectively isolate an expansion tank from a closed loop containing a coolant circulated by a primary pump having a pump inlet. The expansion tank may maintain the coolant at a predetermined pressure at the pump inlet in the closed loop. The controller may communicate with the primary pump and the isolation valve. The computer-readable storage medium may include instructions executable by the controller to: in response to a detection of a leak of the coolant from the closed loop, shut down the primary pump; and close the isolation valve to isolate the expansion tank from the closed loop.

An example apparatus is provided herein. The apparatus includes a coolant distribution unit and a liquid cooled sub-ambient unit. The coolant distribution unit provides a liquid to a set of liquid cooled cold plates to cool a first electronic component. The liquid cooled sub-ambient unit provides air to cool a second electronic component.

Examples herein disclose a coolant distribution unit (CDU) including a valve, a pump, and a controller. The valve controls a coolant through the CDU and the pump maintains a differential pressure of coolant to data center components. The controller exclusively controls the CDU to determine a position of the valve. In the response to the determined position of the valve, the CDU adjusts a speed of the pump.

Examples described herein relate to adiabatic cooling units. For example, a method for mixing gases within an adiabatic cooling unit includes allowing a first gas at a first temperature to enter a mixing chamber on a non-exposed side of an adiabatic cooling media and utilizing a first baffle to direct the first gas in a direction away from the adiabatic cooling media. The method includes allowing a second gas at a second temperature to enter the mixing chamber on an exposed side of the adiabatic cooling media and allowing the first gas and the second gas to mix in the mixing chamber creating a mixed gas. The method also includes creating an inlet with the first baffle and a second baffle to direct the mixed gas away from the adiabatic cooling media and allowing the mixed gas to enter through the exposed side of the adiabatic cooling media.

Examples provide data center canopies, data center housings, and data centers including turning vanes to facilitate air flow. In some examples, a data center canopy may include turning vanes to direct portions of an exhaust flow from an exhaust inlet toward floor sections to be output via exhaust outlets opposite the floor sections. Other examples are described and claimed.

Mixing gases within an adiabatic cooling unit can include allowing a first gas at a first temperature to enter a mixing chamber on a non-exposed side of an adiabatic cooling media and utilizing a first baffle to direct the first gas in a direction away from the adiabatic cooling media.
