A leadless biostimulator has a housing including an electronics compartment, an electronics assembly mounted in the electronics compartment, a proximal electrode that disposed on and/or integrated into the housing, and an electrical feedthrough assembly. The electrical feedthrough assembly includes a distal electrode and a flange. The flange is mounted on the housing. The distal electrode is electrically isolated from the flange by an insulator and configured to be placed in contact with target tissue to which a pacing impulse is to be transmitted by the leadless biostimulator. A mount is mounted on the flange and thereby mounted on the electrical feedthrough assembly. A fixation element is mounted on the mount and configured to facilitate fixation of the leadless biostimulator to tissue of a patient.

An electrical feedthrough assembly, which is configured to be mounted on a housing of a leadless biostimulator, comprises an electrode body including a cup having an electrode wall extending distally from an electrode base around an electrode cavity, an electrode tip mounted on a distal end of the electrode body, and a filler in the electrode cavity between the electrode base and the electrode tip, wherein the filler includes a therapeutic agent. The electrode tip is configured to be placed in contact with target tissue to which a pacing impulse is to be transmitted by the leadless biostimulator. A pin extends proximally from the electrode base, wherein the pin is configured to be into contact with an electrical connector of an electronics assembly within the housing of the leadless biostimulator.

A biostimulator, such as a leadless cardiac pacemaker, including an electrical feedthrough assembly mounted on a housing, is described. An electronics compartment of the housing can contain an electronics assembly to generate a pacing impulse, and the electrical feedthrough assembly can include an electrode tip to deliver the pacing impulse to a target tissue. A monolithically formed electrode body can have a pin integrated with a cup. The pin can be electrically connected to the electronics assembly, and the cup can be electrically connected to the electrode tip. Accordingly, the biostimulator can transmit the pacing impulse through the monolithic pin and cup to the target tissue. The cup can hold a filler having a therapeutic agent for delivery to the target tissue and may include retention elements for maintaining the filler at a predetermined location within the cup.

Systems and methods are provided for attaching and positioning a personal computing device case to a folio. The folio includes magnetic connections, and the personal computing device case includes magnetic connections for attaching the case to the folio in any one of a plurality of positions. The magnetic connections of the folio include an upper magnet array and a lower magnet array for attachment of the magnetic case. The folio includes a hinge mechanism at a top edge of each of two sides of the folio. The case is attached to the folio using guided magnetic seating, and the case is repositionable by slidingly or rotationally changing the position of the case relative to the folio.

An implantable therapy lead is disclosed herein. The lead includes an elongated lead body having a suture sleeve. The suture sleeve is supported on the lead body and has each of an outer surface and an inner surface radially inward of the outer surface. The inner surface defines a lumen through which the elongated lead body extends. The suture sleeve further includes a structure projecting radially inward and/or outward from the inner surface. The suture sleeve is compressible from a first state into a second state by applying a constrictive force to the outer surface of the suture sleeve such that, when in the second state, the structure contacts the elongated lead body, at least in part, to resist movement of the elongated lead body relative to the suture sleeve.

Disclosed herein is an implantable medical device for implantation against cardiac tissue in the administration of electrotherapy to the cardiac tissue. The device includes a distal end and a monolithic controlled release device. The distal end includes a housing structure and a cavity within the housing structure. The cavity opens exterior the implantable medical device via a distal opening. The monolithic controlled release device is within the cavity and proximal the distal opening. The monolithic controlled release device includes a distal face, a proximal face opposite the distal face, an outer circumferential surface extending between the distal face and the proximal face, and a spline-shaped inner lumen extending between the distal face and the proximal face and radially inward from the outer circumferential surface. The monolithic controlled release device further includes an active pharmaceutical ingredient.

A therapy lead has a distal header, a helix-shaft assembly, and a ring seal. The distal header has a cylindrical passage, and the helix-shaft assembly has a shaft and a helical anchor distally extending from the shaft. The shaft extends through the cylindrical passage. The ring seal circumferentially extends about the shaft and inside the cylindrical passage. The ring seal has a proximal face, a distal face, an outer circumferential surface, an inner circumferential surface, and a side wall. The distal face is opposite the proximal face. The outer circumferential surface extends between the proximal face and distal face. The inner circumferential surface is opposite the outer circumferential surface and extends between the proximal face and distal face. The inner circumferential surface defines a center hole of the ring seal that extends between the proximal face and distal face. A side wall extends in a continuous ring about the center hole and is defined by the proximal face, the distal face, the outer circumferential surface, and the inner circumferential surface. The side wall includes a radial cross section that is at least generally chevron-shaped.

A belt-like hip-girdling pelvic sling device for maintaining a desired amount of tension surrounding a person's hips and pelvis to securely support and stabilize a fractured pelvis, including a force-controlled buckle that automatically latches to control the tension and that includes a releasable latching mechanism. The latching mechanism maintains engagement of the buckle with a strap at the required position of the strap with respect to the buckle. The latching mechanism includes a movable member of the buckle that is moved to and latched in a position in which the buckle engages the strap, once a desired amount of tension is reached, limiting and maintaining the required tension.

An implantable therapy lead is disclosed herein. In one embodiment, the therapy lead includes an elongated lead body and a suture sleeve. The elongated lead body has a proximal region and a distal region opposite the proximal region. The suture sleeve is supported on the lead body and has a proximal end, a distal end opposite the proximal end, an outer surface extending between the proximal end and distal end, and an inner surface radially inward of the outer surface and extending between the proximal end and distal end. The inner surface defines a lumen through which the elongated lead body extends. A helical structure helically extends about a longitudinal center axis of the lumen and along the inner surface.

The use of a quick-removing nib allows for a double-tipped nib to be used, with different writing tips, and easy swapping by the pen user between writing tips.
