A rear vehicle frame includes a first longitudinal side frame member, a second longitudinal side frame member, a storage bin, and a center longitudinal frame member. The storage bin is disposed laterally between the first and second longitudinal side frame members adjacent rear end portions of the first and second longitudinal side frame members. Lateral sides of the storage bin are respectively secured to the first and second longitudinal side frame members. The center longitudinal frame member is disposed laterally between and spaced apart from the first and second longitudinal side frame members. The center longitudinal frame member extends from a rear end of the storage bin to a forward end of the storage bin for absorbing energy in a rear crash event.

Rear vehicle frame and center longitudinal frame member therefor

A seal inserted into a circular opening in a work piece from a first direction for sealing a component inserted into the circular opening from a second direction is disclosed. The seal body has a ring shape and includes an upper edge and a lower edge. An upper seal extends radially outward and downward from the upper edge of the seal body, a lower seal extends radially inward and upward from the lower edge of the seal body, and a clip secures the seal to the circular opening.

Damper seal

A frame assembly for a vehicle includes a subframe, a collar assembly with a collar member and a mounting pin, and a main frame with a saddle. The main frame has a contact side that faces toward the collar assembly and the saddle is located on the contact side. The subframe is connected to the main frame with a bolt that extends from the subframe and into a bore in the mounting pin. The mounting pin is in contact with the saddle.

Vehicle frame assembly and method

An attachment structure system is disclosed for attaching a damper to a vehicle. The attachment structure system can include a stiffener body that has a central portion connected to a damper. The stiffener body can be connected to both the vehicle's frame and a vehicle body portion, such as the wheel housing, to reduce noise, vibration, and harshness from being transmitted to the driver of the vehicle, and to provide other structural and ride characteristic benefits to the vehicle.

A cargo protecting system for a vehicle having a load-carrying bed comprises a support structure and a bed floor fixedly supported by the support structure. The support structure forms at least a portion of a frame of a vehicle. The bed floor includes a support surface having a plurality of longitudinal extending, spaced apart raised ridges for directly supporting cargo. Each ridge has elevated and angled parts and an upper part. The upper part of each ridge has an increased thickness compared to the other parts and a raised section for increased strength and rigidity of the ridge. Each ridge includes a wear resistant surface having a first texture disposed substantially over the entire ridge and a second texture disposed over the upper part of the ridge. The second texture is disposed at least partially over the first texture.

Bed corrugation for vehicle load-carrying bed

A gutter system for a vehicle storage compartment includes a bed floor for supporting cargo in a vehicle and a storage compartment having an opening defined in the bed floor. A gutter at least partially surrounds the opening. The gutter includes a main gutter channel disposed adjacent and along an inward side of the opening and lateral gutter channels disposed adjacent and along lateral sides of the opening. At least one discharge channel fluidly connects to the main gutter channel and extends laterally outwardly therefrom to facilitate drainage from the main gutter channel.
