A method of stabilizing imino-functional silane involving adding thereto at least one Br&#xf8;nsted-Lowry base to inhibit, suppress or prevent the addition reactions of the imino-functional silane with itself to form a imino- and amino-functional silane and the subsequent deamination reactions to form conjugated carbon-carbon double bond-containing imino-functional silanes and stabilized imino-functional silanes containing the at least one Br&#xf8;nsted-Lowry base.

Method of stabilizing imino-functional silane

An organic polymer comprising an organic polymer fragment and at least one S-alkylsilyl hydrocarbonthioate group or at least one S-alkylstannyl hydrocarbonthioate group bonded to the backbone of the organic polymer fragment through a C&#x2014;Si covalent bond and their methods or production are provided. The organic polymer backbone can be derived from the anionic polymerization of monomers containing C&#x2014;C unsaturation. The silicon or tin atom can be further bonded to two alkoxy groups, two hydrocarbon groups or to one alkoxy group and one hydrocarbon group.

Thioester-functional organic polymers, method for preparing and compositions thereof

Compositions comprising Silane functionalized compounds are provided. In one embodiment, the silane functionalized compounds include an epoxy resin derived backbone having silane functional groups pendant to the backbone or serving as end caps. The compositions comprising silane functionalized compounds may be utilized in a variety of applications including in coating formulations, adhesive formulations, composite materials, and combinations thereof.
