A banquet table comprises a laminate tabletop with a high-pressure solid composite laminate of paper impregnated with resin. A hoop carries a perimeter of the tabletop and has a perimeter with a size and a shape substantially matching a size and a shape of a perimeter of the tabletop. Elongated runners carry an interior of the tabletop. Legs are coupled to the runners and extend to elevate the tabletop thereon. A polymer trim surrounds the perimeter of the hoop. The trim has a vertical height substantially the same as a vertical thickness of the hoop, with the tabletop extending above a height of the trim so that the tabletop has an exposed perimeter edge. The trim has a horizontal thickness extending laterally beyond the tabletop.

A chair comprises a seat and a backrest carried between opposite frame sides each with a backrest support, a front leg and a rear leg. The seat comprises an upholstered seat cushion disposed on the seat. The upholstered seat cushion comprising a cushion layer carried by a backing and covered by a layer of upholstery. The layer of upholstery extends over the cushion layer and the backing, and wraps around a perimeter of the backing. A snap connection attaches the backing of the upholstered seat cushion to the seat. The snap connection comprises resilient hooks extending from backing of the seat cushion and into holes in the seat.

Cushion for folding chair

A banquet-type table has a tabletop on a stand. The stand comprises upright legs interconnected by upper and lower spars. Each leg comprises an elongated shell with an exterior wall intermediate a pair of lateral walls. The exterior wall is oriented to face outwardly, and the pair of lateral walls is oriented to face adjacent legs. Each leg further comprises a pair of top notches formed in a top of the pair of lateral walls, forming a top shelf. A respective upper spar is received in the pair of top notches, and is disposed on the top shelf. Each leg further comprises a pair of bottom notches formed in a bottom of the pair of lateral walls, forming a bottom lip. A respective lower spar is received in the pair of bottom notches. The bottom lip is disposed on the respective lower spar.

A scissor-type banquet or event table comprises a tabletop removably coupled to and disposable upon a stand. The stand comprises a pair of leg frames pivotally coupled together at an intersection. The pair of leg frames comprise adjacent spars with each of the spars associated with a different one of the pair of leg frames. A safety spacer is disposed between the adjacent spars of the pair of leg frames and separates the adjacent spars. The safety spacer has a thickness so that the adjacent spars are spaced-apart by a gap greater than &#xbe;&#x2033; to resist pinching a user's fingers. In addition, the tabletop and the stand are coupled together with a snap-fit. The snap-fit comprises detents between the tabletop and the stand. Each detent is biased into a respective hole along an axis between the detent and the respective hole.

A banquet chair comprises a seat and a backrest carried by a plurality of legs. A pair of arcuate leaf springs flexibly couples the backrest to the plurality of legs. The pair of arcuate leaf springs is spaced-apart, and each is located closer to a different outside edge of the seat and the backrest than to each other or a middle of the seat and the backrest. Each of the pair of arcuate leaf springs has an outermost edge exposed through a lateral perimeter of the backrest.

A foldable stool comprises legs pivotally coupled together and a seat pivotally coupled to and carried by the legs. The seat is split into a pair of seat portions that is pivotally coupled together. A handle is formed in, and is coextensive with, one of the pair of seat portions. The handle is pivotal with respect to another of the seat portions. A lock positively holds the handle with respect to the another of the seat portions when the pair of seat portions are in a seat orientation.
